Varied menu consisting of some soup, salad, sandwiches, and entrees. I highly recommend the meatloaf. Good value for generous portions. Very loud marketplace, so not at all quiet. The service was somewhat slow and not as attentive as I would have liked.

Very diverse menu of soup, salads and sandwiches made fresh from the surrounding markets bounty. The portions are generous although pricey but definitely good value for your dollars. The surroundings are busy...not a place for a quite meal. If you like quality ingrediants, tasty pairings and people watching you will enjoy Atwater's.

Atwater's is a consistent favorite place for lunch or a light supper. Their soups, salads, and sandwiches are consistently excellent-- the creative pairings mesh well together and are made right there on the premises (if you sit in the back you can watch the staff cook-- pickles, soups, etc.). The cooking here tastes just like home-made (in the best way).... More

The staff at this Cafe have picked up the bad attitude of the manager. They treat you like it is your privilege to have them serve you....Food used to be very good but has dropped off in recent months. The manager needs an attitude adjustment and some customer service training...

So many choices! If you're not a short-term visitor, you'll definitely go back to Atwater's time and again. Every day news soups are brewed with interesting toppings. "Really - you can put apple (or cucumber, or yogurt, or beets, or nuts . . . .) on THAT soup?" you might think. But then you taste it and can't wait to... More

This is always good, healthy and lots of seating. The old market is cool and Atwaters has the best soup in town.

The soups and sandwiches are quite delicious, albeit slightly overpriced. The glaring problem with Atwater's is their horrible customer service. It took over ten minutes to get my order taken while the same waitress was regularly waiting on other tables around me, prompltly taking their order,s and even socializing with them. When she did finally take my order she was... More

I love being able to pick from 4 different soups which are accompanied by a chunk of bread. And, after a cup or bowl, I also get to pick a dessert: carrot cake made on site or Pimlico (yellow cake, choc icing) or sweet potato pie or apple or...well, you get the idea. Sometimes I pick a cheese plate to... More

The soups and breads are made fresh daily and cover a broad territory in flavor profiles. The salads are also super fresh and creative. I am a local and eat there regularly. I have never been disappointed... other than having to wait for a table or a seat to open up at the bar .. but then that is the... More

Great soups and sandwiches. Try the chicken salad...made with apples...daily specials of beef, chicken, and vegetarian dishes...creatively presented. Dine outside with your dog at the tables that surround the front of the restaurant. Weekend brunch always has delightful specials featuring farm fresh eggs and thick cut bacon. Very casual setting.
