High quality food and courteous service

Atwater's food is always of a high level of quality. They change their menus on a daily basis. What I don't like is that sometimes their daily selections are hit or miss. If I don't see what I like on a given day, I usually dine somewhere else.

I used to live in this neighborhood so I have seen the evolution of the market into an eating destination instead of a food market. Atwater's makes very good soups from scratch and sandwiches using local ingredients. We went there for early Sunday lunch and found 3 seats at one of their multiple counters.....had a beer & bloody (liquor license... More

Atwaters has won my heart as a great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Soups are creative with unusual ingredients from local vendors. My favorite meal is a sandwich again with unusual combinations of ingredients. The chicken salad is a favorite using only white meat. Breads are also a treat. I've never seen such a variety! You won't be disappointed... More

Hands down, the most fun lunch we've had in a while. Anything you order is perfection. We had the shrimp gumbo and turkey & cranberry sandwich. The soup did not disappoint, every spoonful was loaded with plenty of stuff. The sandwich was phenomenal, an explosion of flavor. The service was friendly like they've known us for years and sitting at... More

Great food, lively atmosphere, very good service. Favorite lunch spot!! Recommend their other locations such as East Baltimore's Rangos Building (855 N Wolfe) as well as Belvedere. All are excellent.

I think the theme I've experienced here is excellent and fresh food, but with service that leaves much to be desired and orders that take longer than expected to come out. I definitely do enjoy the sandwiches, salads, and coffee here. The pot pie is delicious as well.

Great approach to soup and sandwiches. Bread is excellent. Sometimes the soup choices each have one odd ingredient that makes it less appealing but even then they are good.

If you haven’t been to the market, you should stop in – there are tons of gourmet shops and a lot of local flare. The square itself also has lots of stops like Greg’s Bagels, Shoofly Diner and Grand Cru. I often stop in the Belvedere Market in North Baltimore to grab a few bags of Counter Culture coffee. My... When I was living in Towson, one of my favorite spots was Atwater's on Falls Road. The sandwiches there were great, the salads were awesome and I loved their breakfast options. Plus, their latte's had foam designs or latte art which I'm super fond of. When I found out that Atwater's was opening a location in Canton I was stoked.... More

My family and I stopped by Atwater's last night and purchased some delicious artisan bread. We bought some cranberry and pecan bread, some seven grain bread, and some sunflower and flax seed bread. We also enjoyed some coconut macaroon, salted caramel, and honey vanilla ice cream. I was especially taken with the salted caramel ice cream. We had a great... More
