I wanted to try this restaurant for a long time, I am glad we finally did. The food was outstanding and service was excellent. Our server was knowledgeable and prompt to answer our questions regarding the menu . My friend ordered pork belly to start, it smelled delicious. I ordered duck fat fries for my appetizer, which came with three... More

Our second trip to Salt and the food and service was every bit as good as the first trip. My wife had the tuna and I had the skirt steak. Both were delicious. The only complaint we have is the parking (or lack of it.)

My husband and I had a truly enjoyable experience at Salt for our 4th wedding anniversary. The food was outstanding. Our waiter, Mark, went above and beyond to not only ensure our meal was outstanding, but went out of his way to recommend places to find live crabs for purchase. I would have a hard time pinpointing my favorite part... More

I wasn't overly impressed. The atmosphere and staff were excellent. They paid a lot of attn. to us which we appreciated. The food was certainly decent but I just wasn't wow'd by it. I didn't think it was worth the bill by a long shot.

I was stunned when we asked to move from a center-dining-room table in the heat of the action (not pleasant) to an open booth where no one was sitting, and a woman of manager ilk was most unpleasant, talking about my family behind my back and sneering at my husband. This did not make me take nicely to this restaurant,... More

Came here for Baltimore Restaurant Week and was instantly impressed. The duck fat fries came with 3 types of aioli sauces and were the perfect appetizer. I had the quail over rice (tasted more like a risotto) and would definitely get this meal again. Pretty standard beer list, nothing over the top, and some good specialty drinks. The scenery inside... Salt represents taste, so the name of this restaurant is perfect. The food is superb, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the presentation is always interesting. Parking in the neighborhood is, however, simply horrible, so leave a few minutes early, because you are not going to find spot right in front of Salt. Don't let that stop you, Salt... More

Slightly out of the way for a downtown visitor like me. Situated in a nice East Baltimore neighbourhood. Modern American cuisine. Good selection of wines. The best quail I have had for a long time!

The food at SALT is wonderful...start with great wine/beer list or one of the interesting cocktails...SALT Pomegranate (Tequila) a personal fave...Duck French Fries a must with Beef Sliders (another fave)...favorite entrees are Coriander & Pepper Crusted Tuna or anything made with the Wild Boar...all food is very fresh and beautifully prepared...service is usually top notch, although an occasional waiter can... We had a lovely meal at Salt on St. Patrick's Day Eve this year. While others flocked to Fell's Point for a night of revelry, we sought a quality meal in a classy-but-not-fussy setting near our bed and breakfast. We're so glad Roger at Blue Door on Baltimore suggested Salt! The service, from making a reservation to checking a coat,... More
