Great neighborhood place

We went to Salt on the recommendation of our innkeeper (our B&B was about a five minute walk. We sat at the bar; the bartender was friendly, the beer and wine were good, and the food was just outstanding. Definitely worth a return visit. I wish I lived in that neighborhood.

Nice place, food that doesn't really surprise you. The lobster salad really good and simple, probably the best dish we had. octopus with pork belly and beans didn't really does it for me. Same as with the rest of the food just good but nothing special

Great service and food. Nice local restaurant away from the tourist traps at inner harbour. Highly recommend a visit to this place!

Actually couldn't finish my Veal dish and that's unusual. My wife had a wonderful tuna steak. Interesting deserts, nice laid back vibe good city location. Not inexpensive but worth a visit.

This was one of my favored restaurants when I was living in Baltimore and when I returned recently I was not disappointed. It is a small place, with few crowded table in old corner house in a nice residential area. The chef is highly innovative and each plate on the menu, which changes often, is superbly prepared and presented. Good... More

I was really really excited to try this place for restaurant week as I've heard so many good things about their regular menu, and to be honest I was REALLY disappointed! The staff were friendly, but the food was really just EH. I had the chilled cucumber soup that came with bay scallops ceviche, summer melon, jalepenos, and cucumber which... More

Decided to try after reading about their burger. We knew it was a starter and wow was it delicious but seriously small unfortunately. I wish they'd make it regular size and put it on the menu. The duck fat fries with aioli dipping sauce were great and plentiful. The pork belly was good but again on the smaller side. The... More

We recently dined there with friends and had a nice experience. The menu has a number of good choices. We were disappointed that we wanted to order the chicken and waffles, one of their specialties but they were sold out. Since we had a 7PM reservation we thought that should not have happened so early in the evening. I ordered... More

We had just arrived in Baltimore and Salt was near our B&B - and we were super glad of our choice! The service was great - Carl was our waiter and he was excellent. We shared the tune crudo and loved it! I had Duck Confit Pasta which was awesome!!! The flavors were great and the quantity was perfect. My... More
