Salt. It may be a mineral, but this Salt is a gem.

Salt is at the end of a block of row houses in Baltimore. While it may look like a neighborhood tavern on the outside, do not be deceived. There is excellent food and this is a serious restaurant. The prices reflect this as well. It isn't a neighborhood burger joint. I visited on a slow... read more

Not worth parking 4 blocks away to pay high end prices for ordinary food. The Duck French Fries came out hot and very good with 3 dipping sauces and were well seasoned. Great snack. But @ $9.00 an order. We than ordered Coriander & Pepper Crusted Tuna also a New York Strip Steak The food was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately the... More

We had some time on our hands around dinner time and were in the neighborhood, so we decided to try Salt. We had heard wonderful things about it, so we thought we'd give it a try. Entrees aren't our thing because we don't like a massive plate of the same flavors, and we don't order to buy once, eat twice... More

Went to dinner with a friend tonight at Salt. I came away very impressed. First of all it is difficult to find the best bourbon on the planet at restaurants outside of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, but they had Blanton's, so the night was off to a great start. We started with the Duck Fat Fries and the octopus as... More

We visited for the first time Saturday night - and found the service to be great and the food to be good. Appetizers were the duck fat french fries (which they claim to be the original restuarant to bring this to the Baltimore food scene), crispy fried brussel sprouts which were very tasty, octopus - which looked wonderful annd was... This was our favorite restaurant in Baltimore for years, and the site of many celebrations in our family. The food has always been excellent, the servers and bartenders attentive and helpful, but we sadly will not be returning after being treated hostilely by the owner. Without even asking us about what should have been a minor misunderstanding (our attempt to... More

Outstanding cocktails (a tequila-based mule served in a tin chalice, e.g.), try the pastrami and duck breast, and homemade ice cream on little cones for dessert.

We had an outstanding dinner here the other night! The spiced rubbed Black Cod entree was perfect! Service was exceptional! Highly recommend to anyone who lives or visits Baltimore!

If you like foo-foo food that looks amazing and costs a lot but doesn't take up much of the plate, Salt is for you. It's gourmet food and very tasty. Came no where near filling me up.

A real good foodie find in Baltimore. Creative menu. Appetizers aren't really meant to be shared except for the fries. High quality food and service throughout the meal. The rabbit confit pasta was real good comfort food on a cold windy day in Baltimore. Nice atmosphere in the dining room. The bar lacked character although drinks were real good.
