I was really really excited to try this place for restaurant week as I've heard so many good things about their regular menu, and to be honest I was REALLY disappointed! The staff were friendly, but the food was really just EH. I had the chilled cucumber soup that came with bay scallops ceviche, summer melon, jalepenos, and cucumber which... More

Decided to try after reading about their burger. We knew it was a starter and wow was it delicious but seriously small unfortunately. I wish they'd make it regular size and put it on the menu. The duck fat fries with aioli dipping sauce were great and plentiful. The pork belly was good but again on the smaller side. The... More

We recently dined there with friends and had a nice experience. The menu has a number of good choices. We were disappointed that we wanted to order the chicken and waffles, one of their specialties but they were sold out. Since we had a 7PM reservation we thought that should not have happened so early in the evening. I ordered... More

We had just arrived in Baltimore and Salt was near our B&B - and we were super glad of our choice! The service was great - Carl was our waiter and he was excellent. We shared the tune crudo and loved it! I had Duck Confit Pasta which was awesome!!! The flavors were great and the quantity was perfect. My... More

We've been here twice and absolutely loved it both times. Duck fat fries aren't nearly as hard to find anymore, but this place was one of the first to do them, and they still do them best. Just order them! In fact, we've even considered coming in early for just a drink and an order of fries. As far as... More

I decided to try Salt based upon other reviews, and was not disappointed. The service was great, and the food was wonderful. We had the Duck Fat French Fries to start (as did most of the tables in the restaurant!), and my entree was the pork shoulder with homemade spaetzle - my friend had the oven roasted 'amish' chicken, and... Not worth parking 4 blocks away to pay high end prices for ordinary food. The Duck French Fries came out hot and very good with 3 dipping sauces and were well seasoned. Great snack. But @ $9.00 an order. We than ordered Coriander & Pepper Crusted Tuna also a New York Strip Steak The food was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately the... More

Salt is at the end of a block of row houses in Baltimore. While it may look like a neighborhood tavern on the outside, do not be deceived. There is excellent food and this is a serious restaurant. The prices reflect this as well. It isn't a neighborhood burger joint. I visited on a slow Sunday evening. I would suggest... More

We had some time on our hands around dinner time and were in the neighborhood, so we decided to try Salt. We had heard wonderful things about it, so we thought we'd give it a try. Entrees aren't our thing because we don't like a massive plate of the same flavors, and we don't order to buy once, eat twice... More
