We had a great dinner at this restaurant while visiting the city. Staff were all very friendly, and the food was quite tasty. The fried clams and duck fat fries were especially amazing. The whole menu seemed pretty creative and fresh, which we really liked. The whole restaurant had a very nice ambiance to it. We would definitely come back.

I was so excited to try this restaurant, I had heard good things about it. I won't be going back. I started with an arugula salad that was a large bowl of arugula with literally one slice of the watermelon radish and blood orange that was listed as being part of it on the menu. It did have plenty of... More

My wife and I were attending a conference in Baltimore. I read the Trip Advisor's post and comments on Salt and we decided to give this restaurant a try. It was a Saturday night. We asked for reservations but it was booked for the evening. We were told if we ate at the bar there might seats open if we... More

It's a little foodie place. The menu is interesting and always changing. There are only three constants on the menu. Food: My boyfriend got veal sweetbreads over roasted brussel sprouts with a pumpkin puree and roasted and spiced pumpkin seeds. It was delicious, melt in your mouth. I had a steak with mashed potatoes, and a cream sauce along with... More

Wow, did not disappoint! The best food in Baltimore. Friendly service and crazy good food. Appetizers were mouth watering. Main course was incredible. Our waiter William made great suggestions. Do not waste your time and money at the other clip joints around the harbor!

This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore. I dubbed their french fries as my absolute favorite when I tried them three years ago, and I've been returning for them ever since. The entrees can be a bit strange for standard taste palettes such as my own, but they're fun to try as they usually taste pretty good.... More

In Baltimore for a few days, and based on TA reviews, wife and I had dinner at Salt last night. We made reservations, but the bar looked fun and there was room, so there we stayed. We first shared an order of Duck Fries, and thought they were good, but nothing to rave about. They weren't any better than what... More

I keep a trip diary. These are my notes after our meal at Salt: "it was a roaring success - a very pleasant room, though small - incredibly reasonably priced - duck fat fries with 3 types of aioli - a sweet chipotle (sweet heat); a black truffle oil, pungent unmistakeable flavour & a malt vinegar - the cone of... Great casual restaurant for dinner. Salt has always had an interesting menu, and does not disappoint. Be sure to make reservations, it's been discovered and parking can be difficult. Still, a favorite!
