Kind of amazed that this place is still this good after all these years. Going back soon!

25 years ago I worked in Baltimore and all people said was "You have to go to Tio Pepe." Well, I finally made it there, and am sure glad I did. As a serious fan of Paella, I will say that it was perfectly prepared. Not very salty, perfectly flavored rice, and all of the ingredients were just... read more

The interior atmosphere is top notch. The walls appeared to have been just freshly painted and it was lovely with interesting Spanish decorations and plates. Beautiful fresh flowers were on every cloth covered table. The service was outstanding, timely, and courteous, with waiters formally dressed. Our waiter said he had been there 25 years. Food was quite different from a... More

Food and service was off the charts. May have been the best crab cake I've eaten. This was the first time I had the Tournedos. Didn't even need a fork. Can't wait to go back. Don't forget desert, Baked Alaska. Fantastic evening.

The four of us went there as part of Baltimore's Restaurant Week. Three of us had been there previously. For one this was the first time. Tio Pepe has been around forever and I do not believe it has changed much. The decor is the same. The plates are the same. Servers are the same...only older! And I say that... More

Ordered the paella for two. It was good but I've had better elsewhere. The paella rice was missing that crispy bottom I enjoy so much. The lobster tail I found to be dry, but the mussels, clams and other seafood were good (paella contents). Their oysters with crab in champagne sauce were ok too. The service is good but very... I went here with family to celebrate and the food exceeded my expectations. We started with the shrimp marinated in garlic sauce appetizer, large pitcher of sangria, and majority of our group ordered the Solomillo a la Parrilla ( beef tenderloin with béarnaise sauce) which was excellent. The restuarant does not allow outside food such as a birthday cake.

My office has its annual Christmas party at Tio Pepe. Always great food, always great service. Some ate fish, some beef dishes. Variety of appetizers and, of course, the pine nut roll for dessert. Everyone in our group was pleased.

I have never been disappointed with Tio Pepe, only thrilled. It is an old school classic restaurant. On our last visit, my husband and i split the snails, seafood soup, and seafood paella. We took the pinenut roll home for dessert. What a splurge and worth every single calorie. I always look forward for an excuse to visit this restaurant.

Wow! I am disappointed. I have gone to Tio Pepe's a lot and my recent visit was disappointing. The sangria was good but the food came out luke warm and our waiter had no personality. I will return, hoping this was an "off" night for the restaurant.

If you want a gastronomique experience in a local neighborhood with an eclectic crowd dining on traditional Spanish cuisine, this should be your destination. The fish dishes are their best. Amazingly delish. The lobster appetizer was great also. Shrimp with garlic also wonderful. Finally, the veal chop is fabulous. Order a coffee with a liquor such as Kailua or Tia... More
