First trip there after hearing the legend for decades living near Baltimore. Convenient location with easy street parking. Ambiance was OK, service was good, not great and the food was good, not great. Heavy, old style cooking you would expect from your grandparents favorite place.

Tio Pepe provides a classic, Spanish dining experience. The family restaurant is tucked away downstairs on East Franklin St, and is modeled after some of the older Spanish restaurants one would find in Madrid. In addition to paella (which was extremely tasty and had the most generous amount of seafood I've encountered in the DC/Baltimore area), Tio Pepe also offers... More

The portions are truly sinful and as we were staying in a hotel, we couldn't take a doggy bag. We dined with 4 other couples and we all agreed we could've ordered one dish and split it comfortably. We hoped the piles of our uneaten food would go to a homeless person rather than the garbage can. I had to... More

Tio Pepe's is our family favorite for special events and an amazing evening. This quaint restaurant is located in the basement of a row home and when you arrive, customers need to walk down steps to go inside. This all apart of the experience. The decor are white washed walls with exposed beams in the ceiling. You feel like you... More

With all of the trendy, hip restaurants that are swarmed over by the young foodies, it s a pleasure to enjoy a classic dining experience with really highly trained professional staff and a kitchen that keeps the clientele coming back for more. Bravo!

Located in a conspicuous place on a side street in Baltimore, this place takes you back to old school Spain. Once you open the front door, you realize you are somewhere unique. The waiters are dressed in seemingly Spanish garbs. The rooms are somewhat tight but provides enough room to be comfortable. The table are dressed with white table clothes.... More

Tio Pepe is a wonderful traditional restaurant with a long standing tradition. The seafood paella is always outstanding. The service is excellent

I literally had not visited Tio Pepe’s in about 30 years ( I was 2)… Everything was even better than I had remembered. We visited on a Sunday evening with a 6:00 PM reservation. Due to traffic we were about 15 minutes late, which was not a problem. We were seated immediately. The menu is extensive offering a large variety... More

We have gone to Tio Pepe for many years and it remains a traditional Spanish restaurant with a large variety of dishes very well prepared and served. It isn't trendy, and still serves large, perhaps overly large portions, of fish, giant crab cakes, well seasoned steaks, and other goodies. It is nice to have a restaurant that is consistently reliable.
