Great food and service - poor hostess

I know it may sound petty to pick on the poor hostess, but they are your first impression of the restaurant. We had a reservation, but I stood there being ignored. I started to ask if I could check in and I was waved off. Then another couple came in and she took them right away to a seat. My... read more

My wife and I have been here several times. Both times we had issues with the food and service. Most recently, we went and there were several parties going on and clearly the rest of the restaurant seemed to take second seat. We were sat 20 minutes after our reservation, our food was wrong, when questioned we over heard the... More

I had read a lot of good reviews about Roy's Baltimore and so I had to check it out. I gotta say the Hawaiian Martini was not good at all but perhaps we just caught them on a bad night. The rest of the meal was great! Loved the calamari appetizer as well as the snap peas that come as... More

We've eaten at Roys' many times (but not nearly enough!) We participated in their New Year's Eve dining at about 8 PM. We were greeted warmly, recognized as "regulars" even though we're only there about 4-5 times a year. We love the food, the drinks, the deserts, the staff, the decor, the vibe, everything. Hawaiian Fusion food was a very... More

My girlfriend and I kicked off 2015 dining at Roy's in grand fashion. It is one of my all-time favorite downtown restaurants. The experience is always top notch; great service, wonderful food options and energetic atmosphere.

We went to Roy's with another couple. It was a really good experience. The decor misses the mark in terms of resemblance to Hawaii, but the ambiance is very nice. Location: right in the heart of "tourist Baltimore!" We chose to valet rather than try to figure out parking amongst the hotels and other restaurants. The other couple found paid... More

Roy's is the famous Hawaiian fusion restaurant that has been a staple of Harbor East before it settled on the name Harbor East. We parked in the (quite reasonable for Harbor East) parking garage under the Four Seasons and walked across the street Roy's for dinner on a Friday night. It was 6:30 and the place seemed pretty full, at... More

The proportions are small but the cost is large. The food is delicious but you could go to a local restaurant and get local sea food that is just as good, if not better, for less than what you will pay here. If you are celebrating they know how to treat you well, you will even get a photo to... More

Roy's is now a chain, and in the Baltimore version, it shows. This place feels overcrowded and under-tended from start to finish. The lights are low (for no apparent reason); the service is slow and uninformative. The menu is way over-priced, both for what the meals turn out to be and for a neighborhood that offers much better choices for... More
