We went with a group. The food and service were top-notch. Be prepared to wait on Friday and Saturday, but it was worth it.

We ate here for an early dinner on a Saturday. We got right in but I imagine that it would be more difficult to get in at a later time. We sat upstairs and the tables are kind of close and it was loud. My husband had the crab cakes and I had the fried shrimp. Both were very good!... More

Food all around the table was very good! Drinks too! Prices are moderate-high but reasonable for the area. Broiled flounder was fresh well-stuffed; crab cakes-delicious & well-seasoned. Can't wait to return just for the Fish & Chips!

The restaurant is very charming on the inside. The seafood club was the biggest sandwich I've even seen. Was 2 meals worth of food. Delicious spot.

This review is for take out only. We got their crab cakes and they lived up to all the hype. Absolutely delicious!

I went to Mama's on the Half Shell for lunch and sat at he bar. The bartender was very friendly and efficient, I ordered the Blackened Mahi Wrap which was very good. I plan to come back again and try some other item on the menu. A few of the other reviewers here were complaininig about not being able to... More

My wife and I stopped into Mama's on the Half Shell as we walked around Canton Square on St. Patrick's Day. The bar area has some tables up front, but they were all full and we did not think we could squeeze down the narrow space between the wall and the bar to get to the other end of the... More

This was my second visit but my daughter and son-in-law live in Baltimore and eat here frequently. It is always busy and therefore, noisy. The crab cake was wonderful with a spicy tartar sauce and the mac and cheese as a side is not to be missed. The veggie was pea pods which were nicely seasoned but too greasy and... More

Our group of five chose Mama's on the recommendation from locals. We were dining on business and we all enjoyed our food choices. The service was good, but she was very short with us. The manager stopped by our table to ask if we were happy with everything. We smiled and acknowledged that we were happy. When check time came,... More

Mama's never disappoints. We had friends from out of town who wanted authentic B'more seafood. We shared an assorted platter of raw oysters that were amazing. We also shared two different mussel dishes- best we've ever had. I can't resist the fish and chips at Mama's. My wife had the crab cakes- excellent! Our server was fun, helpful with advice... More
