Where's the beef? Right here it is and wow...

Decided to try Chap's. EVERYONE I talk to raves about it. When I got there, the line was out the door...that's a good sign. Service was quick and friendly...food was hot and served up quickly. Wow...is the best way to describe it. Moist, juicy, very flavorful...and the Tiger sauce is great... read more

Chap's is the #1 Pit Beef restaurant in the Baltimore area. Pit Beef = Meat, grilled over charcoal, no frills. If you are a carnivore, and you are in the Baltimore area, you have to check out Chap's. There are many combinations available, and all of them are absolutely delicious. Don't forget the Tiger Sauce (basically mayo and horse radish)... More

If you need white tablecloths and a snoody wait staff for an acceptable meal - this place is not for you. If you want good food at a reasonable price, find Chaps. The address is safe. So what theres a step bar next door, if you don't want to go it shouldn't bother you any. Exceptional food!!!! A variety of... More

We traveled away from the Inner Harbor to try Chaps. We enjoyed the sandwiches we ordered. The minced beef BBQ was very good. They have different names for the there sandwiches and I ordered the sub with corned beef, pit beef (cooked medium) and sausage. It was excellent. We also ordered the cheese fries and they were very god also.... More

I have gone to this restaurant a couple of times now and all I can say is, this is the best roast beef sandwich I've ever had. Their fries are also great.

Have lived in Baltimore for 10 years and heard, seen and read all the reviews, including the famous DDD episode - decided to try it for the first time. Followed prior reviewers' adviced to get the beef sandwich with the Tiger sauce. The sandwich is basically a good bun and a generous portion of their "pit" beef - which tastes like... More

We found ourseleves heading into Baltimore and had to go back to Chaps. We ordered Pit Beef and my lil girl had a BLT. The BLT was SO good. Who knew? I mean do people really walk in to Chaps and order a BLT? I guess yes since we did. We also had french fries with gravy. The place does... More

I visit Baltimore often and my brother-in-law is the reason I finally stopped at this place. It's really not for eating-in so you just order and leave with your BBQ goodies. The sandwiches, ribs and fries are really good and their special BBQ sauce is quite delicious. Try this place!
