Chaps is the first stop after getting off bwi airport. It happens to be next door to a gentleman's club, but don't let that deter you. You can't beat the macaroni and cheese, the smoked sliced beef sandwich, and all the other orders in the menu.

Took my sons there after seeing it on Dinners, Drive-Ins and Dives (DDD), the place lived up to the hype and the staff was very friendly and with great recommendations. The meat would just melt in your mouth........ Don't forget their home made spicy tiger sauce! I am sure they'd get more business if they moved a little more uptown... More

We heard about this restaurant through triple D and man vs. food. We had the Richwich and it was delicious! Also, have it with the hickory BBQ or house BBQ sauce. The place is small, but very cozy. Definitely worth the drive and the food was so good. Price is great as well.

We drove an hour to come try this place after reading reviews and seeing it not once but twice on DDD and on man Vs food. Not let down at all. Amazing portions. Wonderful flavor. The place was packed with a line going out the door. We will go back again. If you have not been then go.... just go.

We travel between our home in northern Virginia and family in NJ, and routinely time our departure so we can grab lunch at Chaps. On the way home, we stop and pick up 2 lbs so we can continue to reward ourselves for a week! We've had a few menu items, Richwich, minced BBQ, pulled pork, Habbit, etc, and the... More

Well, I ordered the “Richwich” and added raw onions and the “tiger” sauce, as recommended by other patrons. Honestly, it was what I expected…an overstuffed, meat dripping, tasty sandwich that was hard to bite through given its girth. Forget about the location, as that is why the owners are able to provide you these gargantuan-sized sandwiches at such a reasonable... More

Diner's,Drive Ins and Dives got it right ! Small hole in the wall place with picnic tables, and out door rest rooms, but food was worth going out of the way for. Sandwiches are huge and ribs were to die for.Loved the bar b q sauce !Price good for portions received and they were not lacking for customers. If I'm... More

If you're looking for pit beef while in Baltimore, look no further than Chaps. Just don't come expecting anything fancy. It's a simple sandwich stand with a few picnic tables located in front of a gentleman's club. Based on that, I know what you must be thinking...the pit beef sandwiches must be that frickin' good. And you would be correct.

Made out of the way stop to Chaps returning from Mt. Vernon. We always try to stop when we are in the area. Pit Beef Sandwich has gotten pricy. Thee pit beef sandwiches and large fries was $26, without drinks. A couple more dollars and we could have eaten a full meal at Cracker Barrel. We will probably pass in... More

My wife is from Baltimore and we travel there often. Chap’s is always on my list of places to eat as we can’t get that classic MD Pit Beef around DE. The place is small and is basally a BBQ pit with some picnic tables in a little porch area. The food is…well , classic pit beef etc. It’s got... More
