This is not a place you go to for the atmosphere or the location. In the parking lot of a strip club. Across the street from an adult book store. Ignore those places and stop here for a great sandwich or ribs. Casual atmosphere. Amazing pulled pork sandwiches. Also, get the fries with gravy. Home made fries with a gallon... More

Well this restaurant was not what we were expecting, this is a very small shack type establishment with minimal indoor seating. You order at one window and pick up at another around the corner, there were about 10 customers ahead of us in line and the pick up area was very congested with patrons waiting on their orders. The food... More

I made this my first stop on my recent trip to Baltimore and it was well worth it. Yes, it is in a sketchy area of town, BUT, the food is definitely worth the trip. I tried the pit beef and the Guys Triple D sub. Both were delicious. I especially enjoyed the Triple D sub with the three diferent... More

This isn't fine dining. It is, however, pure Baltimore. If you are looking for something you will not find anywhere else that encapsulates the essence of charm city, this is it. The meats are fantastic. That is where all the effort and quality is. Everything else is average, but the meats are great.

OMG. My sandwich was the bomb. I had the K-B dog. A hot sausage with corned beef. I chose to top mine with South of the Border sauce and coleslaw. Mine was far better than my husbands. His was good mine was delicious. He had the pit beef with south of the border sauce and tiger sauce. It was on... More

The service is terrible. We're talking gulag guard level. More than just rude, but mean, contentious and over the top disrespectful. The sarcastic staff treated my family and other customers like dirt. They've gone far down hill. The angry voice of the door chime chanting "Close The Door" incessantly for the whole meal was a classy touch as well.

Quite possibly the best pit beef I have ever consumed. I had the beef and corned beef combo and it was simply delicious. The beef was moist and flavorful and it was paired with a modest roll...after all, you want it to be about the meet. The corned beef was shaven thin and really made the sandwich. The GF had... More

A great sandwich that deserves national attention. Amazing combo of "pit" meats. No frills location, but friendly staff. Tiger sauce rocks.

Chaps is one of my favorite "cheat" night places to eat. Last night we went there and I had the Danny Dog : Ham, sausage, and cheese. Everything is smoked to perfection! The sandwiches are large enough that you don't really need any extra sides, but they're totally worth it. Everything was delicious, especially when smothered in tiger & bbq... More

We stop at Chaps every time we visit Baltimore and haven't been disappointed yet. The taste of the beef cooked over that charcoal is outstanding. I order the "Bull Dog" (tender roast beef, spicy hot sausage and cheese on a roll) - I highly recommend it. The tiger sauce is so good , I even dip my fries in it.... More
