Chaps sells a wide variety of beef/pork/chicken sandwiches and deep-fried foods, doing a very good job cooking meets over charcoal. Quite filling and a good value. However, their barbecue, while good for the North (yes, I know that Maryland is technically part of the South), it's not up to par with those in the South or Mississippi or Missouri rivers... More

If you want pit beef without flavor. This is your place. I was there yesterday and had the triple d sandwich with a small mac and cheese. The sandwich is very close to being what they use to have as a special called the Richmond. The meat is flavorless and dry. Thank god for all the sauces the offer there.... More

Lets start .. . . lock you car as you park. You can cash you checks across the street. Good beer next door at gentlemen's club, same parking lot. Now hopefully this should have reduced the number of less adventurists which we mean a shorter line for me. And there were three police cars when I visited, and maybe one... More

As others have said, ignore the area (i.e. what the other businesses are nearby), and EAT HERE. Hubby LOVES this place and whenever we are in Baltimore, we try to stop here. I had not eaten here before and Hubs picked me up from the airport so we stopped by. I wasn't even hungry and I ate the WHOLE sandwich... More

This place is a real hidden gem!! Yes, it is located in a somewhat shady area of town & yes, it does share a parking lot with a gentlemen's club, but it is SO worth it!! The food is absolutely delicious!! The employees are all nice & there will be a line out the door!! We got a sampler sandwich... More

We have been here before and returned after not stopping here in a few years. The food is as good as ever, well worth the visit. Not much more then a shack and the parking is limited, locating and getting to is a little difficult but what isn't in Baltimore area. If you want a great sandwich and extensive choices... More

This is not a place you go to for the atmosphere or the location. In the parking lot of a strip club. Across the street from an adult book store. Ignore those places and stop here for a great sandwich or ribs. Casual atmosphere. Amazing pulled pork sandwiches. Also, get the fries with gravy. Home made fries with a gallon... More

Well this restaurant was not what we were expecting, this is a very small shack type establishment with minimal indoor seating. You order at one window and pick up at another around the corner, there were about 10 customers ahead of us in line and the pick up area was very congested with patrons waiting on their orders. The food... More

I made this my first stop on my recent trip to Baltimore and it was well worth it. Yes, it is in a sketchy area of town, BUT, the food is definitely worth the trip. I tried the pit beef and the Guys Triple D sub. Both were delicious. I especially enjoyed the Triple D sub with the three diferent... More

This isn't fine dining. It is, however, pure Baltimore. If you are looking for something you will not find anywhere else that encapsulates the essence of charm city, this is it. The meats are fantastic. That is where all the effort and quality is. Everything else is average, but the meats are great.
