Fantastic Pit BBQ

It's all about the food. You can't go wrong no matter what you order. My wife questioned me when we first arrived (I don't think she appreciated the strip club next door) but the food won her over.

Simply one of the best sandwiches you will ever eat. The Habbit is amazing. Try the rice pudding as well.

Went to Chaps for the 3rd time this past weekend while heading back from DC. If you are heading through the 95 corridor through the Baltimore area, this is a must visit. Easy and quick access off the route 895 bypass. So lets get this out of the way, some might consider Chaps to be in a sketchy part of... More

Chaps used to be the ultimate pit beef destination, even being featured on TV. Before leaving town I wanted a pit beef sandwich and went out of my way to go there. I was extremely disappointed. They no longer serve their pit beef on a Kaiser roll but on a potato roll, meaning smaller portions and a soggy sandwich. The... More

Went for lunch while in town - and it was delicious! Don't mind that it is a little shack in a strip club parking lot - it just adds to the ambiance. The beef and pork BBQ sandwiches are awesome - the ribs pretty good. I could stop eating the fries! Enjoy and get lots of napkins :-)

My daughter found this place and now we try to stop either to or from DC. If you enjoy fine dining or new age fushion then don't stop at Chaps but if you are not offended by having to park in the lot of a "gentlemen's club" then by all means get on line. The sandwhiches are all overstuffed and... More

This is great food at a great price. The only problem is that the number of combinations is unlimited, so you have a hard time deciding. Make it simple and just get the beef. Or the beef and a burger. Or beef and sausage. Or beef, turkey, and sausage.... And the fresh cut fries are excellent as well. Don't leave... More

A Baltimore institute, Chap's is the place to get your fix for pit beef, pit ham, and all things meat. The place has been reviewed and featured on several Food Channel programs. On this visit I ordered the Guy's Triple D sandwich; pit beef, corned beef and sausage. The wife got pit beef and pit ham. Both sanwiches were huge.... More
