Quite possibly the best pit beef I have ever consumed. I had the beef and corned beef combo and it was simply delicious. The beef was moist and flavorful and it was paired with a modest roll...after all, you want it to be about the meet. The corned beef was shaven thin and really made the sandwich. The GF had... More

A great sandwich that deserves national attention. Amazing combo of "pit" meats. No frills location, but friendly staff. Tiger sauce rocks.

Chaps is one of my favorite "cheat" night places to eat. Last night we went there and I had the Danny Dog : Ham, sausage, and cheese. Everything is smoked to perfection! The sandwiches are large enough that you don't really need any extra sides, but they're totally worth it. Everything was delicious, especially when smothered in tiger & bbq... More

We stop at Chaps every time we visit Baltimore and haven't been disappointed yet. The taste of the beef cooked over that charcoal is outstanding. I order the "Bull Dog" (tender roast beef, spicy hot sausage and cheese on a roll) - I highly recommend it. The tiger sauce is so good , I even dip my fries in it.... More

I don't get this place, having been to many other places that appeared on the food shows. It's an average totally plain roast beef sandwich. They don't even make their own BBQ sauce -- they serve "Sweet Rays" from a grocery store! Their "tiger sauce" is just horseradish and mayo or whatever. My pit beef sandwich wasn't any bigger than... I was really disappointed with the pit beef. It really didn't have any type of special taste to it. The tiger sauce is great, but it had to be loaded up with that to get some real flavor in there. The corned beef was actually really good and we liked that a lot better than the pit beef. We had... More

Been meaning to stop here for awhile and we finally got the opportunity. It earns all the accolades in other reviews for their food. The friendly, helpful cashier was a pleasant surprise. I had the Richwich, it was excellent, but I'll get the BBQ beef sandwich the next time. Nice selection of sauces. The line looked daunting but moved along... More

Chaps is the first stop after getting off bwi airport. It happens to be next door to a gentleman's club, but don't let that deter you. You can't beat the macaroni and cheese, the smoked sliced beef sandwich, and all the other orders in the menu.

Took my sons there after seeing it on Dinners, Drive-Ins and Dives (DDD), the place lived up to the hype and the staff was very friendly and with great recommendations. The meat would just melt in your mouth........ Don't forget their home made spicy tiger sauce! I am sure they'd get more business if they moved a little more uptown... More

We heard about this restaurant through triple D and man vs. food. We had the Richwich and it was delicious! Also, have it with the hickory BBQ or house BBQ sauce. The place is small, but very cozy. Definitely worth the drive and the food was so good. Price is great as well.
