Poor buffet, maybe try some nepalese dishes a la cart. Chicken was very dry in biryani as well as appetizer. The soup was finished when we went for lunch buffet & never refilled.

The food here is always great but the Seekh kebab and the chilly chicken are especially wonderful. If you have never had Nepalese food it resembles Indian. The atmosphere and the service are also great and the price is very reasonable.

This is by far the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to - and I've been to almost every single Indian restaurant in Minneapolis, Baltimore and Portland (OR). Delicious food, reasonably priced... But what sets it apart is the service. These guys are unpretentious, genuinely nice and they aren't trying to nickle-and-dime you. If you ever come to Baltimore, make... More

We live near Baltimore, and often drive into the city to visit the Kumari restaurant. The owners are from Nepal. They offer some unique Nepali and Tibetan dishes as well as more standard Indian fare. Everything is delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We don't like spicy hot food, and the chef at Kumari is able to dial... More

During a recent four day visit to Baltimore for a fandom convention with my three children, we decided to try Kumari for our first night in town. We stayed at the Marriott inner harbor hotel which meant that we had to walk or take a taxi to the restaurant. Since it was a lovely summer evening we thought it would... More

I brought my family to Kumari for a birthday meal. The food was fantastic, atmosphere good, service very friendly and helpful though a touch slow. My meal was the Dal Bhat Set - which I had with goat. It was amazing - fiery spices, hot temperature, and filling. Others had lamb biryani, tandoori chicken, and tandoori salmon. We were all... More

They have an extensive buffet for lunch that is extremely affordable. The food is piping hot and always fresh. Also, this establishment has amazing service with a smile. Their staff is very attentive.

This is one of my go-to restaurants in Mount Vernon. The menu is very affordable, and the waitstaff is charming. My favorite is the okra. The breads are also wonderful. It's also conveniently located and never too crowded to get a table.

This is the best lunch buffet in town. I've tried them all and there is no contest. Kumari has great meat and vegetarian options at lunch. This is the best choice in town. They are also always very friendly.
