Good Missing Something

The main dishes were excellent. The service and front desk were coutious and pleasant. Wine list was a bit lacking but broad enough to cover the basics. Salad was wilted and soft but the dinner was a happy turn around.

We checked out a few places in Little Italy and settled on this one. Mussels and fried provolone appetizers were very good as were the salads that accompanied our dinner entrees. My wife had the fettuccine alfredo with chicken and I had the shrimp and salmon. My meal was as expected, nothing over the top, but a tasty piece of... More

We had our family Holiday dinner here last year...20 people. They had multiple nice large private rooms that could accomodate a group of this size. We had a prix fixe menu of lasagna, tortelini, or spaghetti. All entrees included a fresh salad, great bread, and choice of desserts...cannoli or taramisu. The food and service was fantastic.

Originally from Baltimore, I still eat here every year with my family on Easter Sunday. I will admit, then, that this is more of a place where you eat when you don't care too much what you spend. It is a tad expensive, but it's also a restaurant in Baltimore's Little Italy, so... The house salad is just ridiculously good.... More

We had a large group go for dinner. To start off the evening the waitresses seemed bothered with a large group eating at their restaurant, almost like it was an inconvenience to them. We ordered many plates between our group and tried other items from each other. I'm not a huge italian food eater but others in our group are... More

Chiapparellis is more then a restaurant, it feels like going to dinner at a family members home! Most people that come to Chiapparellis have been coming for a long time and they have a favorite server. This is seen by how the servers are hugging and personally talking with everyone. For new people to the restaurant they can feel the... More

The ambience is pleasant, with spacious rooms and tables far enough apart to allow for privacy. Although the dining area is attractive and comfortable, the food leaves much to be desired. This restaurant serves pasta the way it was cooked in America about 50 years ago -- unimaginatively and overdone (way overcooked... perhaps cooked in advance?). The sauce tastes canned... More

At one time this and the restaurant across the street were 2 of the best in Little Italy. My family ( 8 of us) went here last Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. The nice hostess sat us immediately upon arriving at a table where we could all talk and see each other. This is a plus to me because... More

Friends and family gathered for a birthday yesterday at 3 p.m. I ordered the Tortellini Alfredo. The 3-color pasta was overcooked; the sauce was OK but could have been creamier; the addition of peas and prosciutto made it better. As typical of most restaurants, the food wasn't hot enough. My sister ordered Fettuccine with Meat Sauce and declared that the... More

We came for lunch with friends- a great time to come, in my opinion, because the lunch prices were great! I had the tortellini alfredo and their signature house salad- all I can say it was DELICIOUS. We will definitely plan on returning.
