Fantastic Service and Great Food

Read about this restaurant on Trip Advisor and decided to try it. We walked there from our hotel and back - almost a mile each way but an easy walk. We didn't have a reservation (Tuesday evening around 6:00) but getting a table was no problem. We ordered shrimp scampi and penne a la vodka and both... read more

The food was awesome! The pasta was authentic, the sauces were amazing and there was an older gentleman with the thickest Italian accent ever ... he was our server. Of course, the portions were massive. We ordered staples, because we had a child with us, Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo and Spaghetti.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely romantic dinner at La Scala on a Friday night. The free shuttle service to/from our hotel really made life easy for us, and the driver George is a treasure. We sat upstairs and enjoyed a lovely meal--the food was fantastic. I had the filet mignon and the chef did it truly rare, which... More

Nino greets guests at the door and works the tables as an owner should. Five of us converged on a chilly Tuesday to have a few drinks and enjoy a great meal. Bartender Felix was on top of things and did an outstanding job. As the crowd grew, we decided to go to our table with William our server. My... More

nothing more than a tired tourist trap. The chef at the bar couldn't be less involved with the experience of the diners. Lazy execution of tired old american tourist offerings. snore.

I have been going to LaScala since they first opened. Started out just getting Penne Arrabiatta and sitting at the bar and visiting. Not been back in 5 years and yet the wonder still remembers me. Amazing fried Caesar salad and Veal chop is amazing.

It was a Monday night and there were many business dinners taking place. We were celebrating a pre-anniversary evening and were we wowed! Cheese and salami app, grilled Caesar salad (first time having the lettuce grilled), wonderful beef and chicken entrees, and then dessert. The waiter was very helpful with our wine selection and was actually perfect all night. We... More

Our hotel recommended this italian restaurant as one of the best in the Little Italy sector....and we looked it up on line ... thus we went.....The food was poor quality ... cold...sides did not match with main dish .....dining experience was not the best .... so, we wonder how is it possible that the best established food critics are giving... The food was amazing. I highly recommend the Grilled Caesar Salad, it was delicious. I can't say enough about the olive oil we were given to dip our bread in. It was fruity, light and very tasty. The ambiance is warm and cozy, with a complete Bocce Ball court on the lower level. George picked us up at our hotel... More
