La Scala does have a complimentary shuttle for most local hotels,so if you don't want to walk or pay for cab,use this service (get the front desk or concierge to make the call for you). George, the shuttle driver, is super personal, professional, fun and engaging! (He's also a great singer....ask to hear his gospel CD!) From the shuttle to... More

This has always been our favorite Italian restaurant in Little Italy. We have been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. The food is pricy but well worth it. Four of us went there on a Sunday night and it was crowded. I had the Veal Marsala and it was delicious. My husband had the shrimp and... More

The food was spectacular, the presentation was eye catching and extremely creative, the atmosphere was so romantic and a went with a large group! The service was superb. The parking was very inexpensive and convenient. Even the restaurant's patrons were friendly. Money well spent! I can't to go back.

A client booked this for a group of us. One very nice distinctive feature - they have their own shuttle service. We ordered the antipasto - nice variety of well-prepared cured meats and vegetables. Good calimari. Do try the mushroom appetizer. Ordered the pasta with shrimp and scallops (a special). Nice al dente pasta and very fresh seafood. Good, affordable... More

Having a large group can be extremely trying for most restaurants but for the second time La Scala has come through with flying colors. Our 21 guests all raved about the food, the atmosphere, the servers and of course, the bocci! Very reminiscent of eating dinner in Italy where eating is an event and not rushed, we enjoyed our family... More

We found the area and the restaurant itself to be great. Bocce ball on the lower floor, and very cool dining rooms on the above floors. The waitstaff was, as others have noted, always rushing around, but not always to our table. Although, all-in-all, above average. We found the bartenders to be the best, as we ordered a drink while... More

The servers were great!!! They were on the run the whole time we were there...unfortunately there were a few large parties ordering off the menu and left the rest of us sitting for some time. We had calamari to start with and it was very good...enough for four people. We followed this with the grilled Caesar salad.....not sure i cared... More

The service was cheerful and prompt. Food was good - especially the spaghetti carbonara. The grilled Caesar salad is unique. They have a shuttle to pick you up at most downtown hotels.

The food was very good to excellent, 4 1/2 stars. The service was virtual perfection, 5+ stars. We arrived on a Saturday nite with no reservations. Despite the size of the place, the placed was packed, and they had to rearrange some tables to accommodate us--which they did with a smile. The veal dishes were as good as they come,... More

Italian is usually something I tend to like more at home than out. La Scala was top notch though. The bread, the artichoke heart - crab meat appetizer, the pasta dinner, everything was cooked perfect. The lobster and shrimp in my pasta was cooked just right, not overdone. The sauce was so good. My only complaint was that it was... More
