As always, another excellent dinner :D This has been one of my top 10 restaurants for years and I used to drive 1 & 1/2 hrs to come here. Thankfully I lived a few blocks away now. We ordered a few of our usual things tonight. Spring rolls OMG I love them - we got 2 orders lol. Beef Pad... More

I specialize in Thai restaurant reviews. I saw the reviews below and and looked forward to eating here. Sadly, I cannot recommend Banthai for Thai food. (Maybe the sushi is good?). The first issue was the small complimentary side sald, which was 100% white iceberg! not a speck of green to be found. The dressing was OK. The Pad Thai... More

Stopped by this nice little place just by chance while walking by it and looking at the menu. We were just looking for a couple drinks and and appetizer or two, so we sat at the bar. It was around 6-ish and the place was rather quiet, and appeared to be a bit understaffed. But the waitress did come and... More

I had lunch with my Thai friend on Friday and the restaurant was just newly renovated (they told me five months ago) and looks sleek and modern. It added a lot of sushi items (about half the menu.) However, the tom yum soup was greasy and didn't taste much lemon grass like it should. The shrimp in my entree were... More

This small but comfortable Thai restaurant was unassuming, but very very good. The dishes we ordered we both very fresh and extremely tasty. We were given the option to have our food spice from 1 to 6 chilis, and the wait staff help us select the appropriate level that matched our taste. Everything was great, don't miss this one.

My husband and I like some Thai dishes extremely spicy, but most restaurants won't make it this way even when we ask. (We're white, and I know the Caucasian-American and Asian definitions of "spicy" typically differ considerably, but it would be nice to get authentic food when I'm in the mood for it.) Not Ban Thai! They gave us a... More

Judging from the number of Thai people stopping here also, it is popular and authentic. The Pad Thai I had was plentiful and delicious. Reasonable price as well. A nice place for dinner.

Located in the Mount Vernon Historic district in Baltimore, this restaurant offers excellent Thai food with authentic preparations in a relaxing atmosphere. The waitress was very helpful and provided suggestions on the options available. After studying the menu, I decided on shrimp dumplings and Guay Teow Kee Mao. Both were superb, nicely prepared, and delicious with ample portions. And the... More
