Gecko's is no more. I used to love it. Great margaritas and cheap pool table. The owner was usually friendly. There were cockroaches though.... Sad to see this place go instead of cleaning up its act.

Other trip advisor reviews pointed us to this Tex-Mex local bar. The house margaritas were very good and the food was plentiful but we thought, average. What really turned us off was that the restrooms were filthy on a Friday evening at 7 when the place was not very crowded. This is a huge turn-off, since we think this reflects... More

Always drove by this gem and thought it was just a bar. Fortunately a friend turned us on to the Sunday Brunch Buffet from 11 - 3. Nice variety and great food. Some brunch basics with Tex-Mex twist. Even though you could not order off a menu, the Chef came out and asked if he could get anyone something different... More

Have not been to Gecko's for some time but we still love it. Not fancy but in our experience always excellent (not gourmet as one expect of a neighborhood pub). The teriyaki salmon is a favorite and has never disappointed us. The crab quesidillas were the best ever according to my wife, a quesadilla aficionado. And finally the CC Mahattan's... More

We live about three hours from Baltimore and were introduced to this very tasty eating establishment by our granddaughter - we were impressed. I love homemade soups - and on my first visit ordered the beef and borcht soup. When I knew we were driving to Baltimore I called and specifically requested this soup. The chef complied and served the... More

There are certainly many fans of this establishment as indicated by the reviews. After eating there the other night, I can't say I'm one of them. I must say that I went there primarily after reading about the cozy and super-friendly atmosphere afforded in the restaurant. As far as Tex-Mex goes, it's usually a pretty safe bet - easy to... More

If you live in Maryland and you haven't been to Geckos, then you need to make tracks and get down to Southeast as quick as you can! Between the outstanding food or the kick a@$ service, this place can't be missed. You will immediately feel at home when you set foot inside this Baltimore landmark.

Where to start?! Almost 2 years ago my boyfriend and I went to Geckos for a first date and have been going back ever since. I have been with friends, family, and of course the b/f. Whether it's been a Tuesday night for Sangria a weekend night out or a Sunday brunch, everyone we have taken has been beyond impressed!... More

I ended up going many times to Geckos. It's great Southwestern food in a fun, casual atmosphere. You get homemade tortilla chips (not the standard ones) and homemade salsa before your food. The food itself is great, tasteful and not expensive. But the best is their Sunday brunch! TIP: Go to their Sunday Brunch (11am - 3pm)... It's $14... but... More

WOW! I've lived near this place for about 6 months now and just walked in last weekend. Don't judge a book by its cover. Layout of this place is amazing for a spot the size of a row house. Very open space Juke box is the old CD flip type and it's stocked with just the right music to keep... More
