A must try on a warm spring day

Hadn't visited in a while but glad we did on New Years day. Service was very good as usual as was the food, drinks and appetizers. Lamb chops are a favorite of mine although portion could have been bigger. Vegan options for the wife were plentiful as well.

Transport yourself back to the days of the Raj. Enjoy excellent cuisine in a hidden away and elegant setting. If I had more than two thumbs, they be up.

Probably the best Indian place in Baltimore. It's good if not stellar, and the location is nice with a nice interior.

I like Indian food, and I like seafood, and after eating the truly giant (and delicious) shrimp in this place, I feel like I have been cheated so many times before with "jumbo shrimp" (or "jumbo prawn" going back to UK in 1994). Not sure when I will visit JHU again, but I am going back :)

We have been going to the Ambassador for years and never disappointed until our last visit. The vegetable pakora was still tasty but the portion size smaller than in the past. The chicken tikka masala sauce was mediocre and the chicken overcooked and dry. Lamb chops were only fair and were not served with a mint sauce as described in... More

This was our 2nd time eating at the Ambassador. On both occasions, we sat in the adjoining terrace room which was lovely both in summer and in the fall. The glass walls open up during good weather and close when necessary with the added ambiance of 2 fireplaces. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful and helpful in... More

The staff here, starting with the manager, has an old world attention to detail and keen sense of customer service. The food is served quickly with plentiful portions.

I love the Ambassador. The setting is lovely - especially the garden room at any time of year. The food is delicious - perhaps the best Indian in Baltimore. At dinner it can be rather pricey, but the Ambassador offers a fabulous and well-priced lunch/brunch that few take advantage of. The selections are extensive and delicious. Enjoy.

I have been to Ambassador Dining Room many times in the past, but not during the past few years. I loved their vegetarian dishes, especially the spinach and paneer. My husband and I took two friends. While the environment (we chose to sat in their outdoor porch) was as beautiful as ever, the food seemed less flavorful- the prices were... More
