We came from Washington DC with a hungry stomach.. Food is delicious and quality of the food is really good. We had a buffet. Good number of options for vegetarian. First one to have these many options for vegetarian in American restaurant I have been so far.

After reading all the very positive reviews on Tripadvisor, I can't believe we sent to the same restaurant. This was supposed to be a special occasion, but it was anything but that. The texture of my beef entree was that of stew meat. The shish kebab my wife ordered was some sort of mystery meat. We were seated in the... More

This gem of an Indian restaurant in an old grand Tudor style apartment building. The dining room is classical Colonial Indian as is the cuisine. The dining room is very comfortable and the porch and garden seating is lovely with sparkling white lights. The tandoori is good and all traditional cuisine is gently done , not overly spicey. There is... More

Traditional dishes were top of the line but they also incorporated Maryland's love of crab and had a very special dish with big lump crab meat. We had chicken, lamb, crab, goat cheese, and tofu dishes and they were all wonderful. The ambiance is relaxing and inviting and the service is excellent.

Definitely go for the buffet before 2pm (includes Mimosas, wine, etc.) This is a great tip to enjoy a wide variety of the cuisine at the best price. For dinner, the crab dish is delicious (I forget the exact title.) Overall, this restaurant has very good food paired with phenomenal service and a romantic atmosphere, fireplaces, outdoor seating overlooking open... More

I had a reservation for730 and when I arrived the host told me I would have to wait. He did seat us in about 10 minutes. I wanted outside because that is great in summer. The grass could have been weeded and cut,it was a little unruly. We had the eggplant appy and that was good. I had the grilled shrimp... More

Bland. Bland. Bland. Service was hell. Whoever says that this is the best Indian food in baltimore has not been to any other Indian restaurant in the city or the surrounding areas. Room and area is nice but for gods sake please don't judge this book by its cover. Overpriced pretentious wanna be Indian cuisine. We watched another guest get... More

The last time I was here was nine years ago and I couldn't wait to go back! The Ambassador has a wonderful atmosphere and even better food. It is located in the back of an apartment building and we were seated close to the wonderful toasty fireplace. The food is delicious and the service is absolutely wonderful. This is the... More

My husband and I had a fantastic dinner at the Ambassador Dining Room last week. It was recommended by our hotel (the Colonnade Inn Doubletree, a block or two away), so we walked over to take a look at the menu. The restaurant is set in the back of an apartment building with old world charm -- an unusual location... More

Second time to the Ambassador, love the ambiance. It is particularly appealing when the doors open to the outside. Obviously, in March that typically is not possible. As to the food, honestly, I really wanted to like it, and I did to a degree. However, there is a sameness to the offerings. I looked at everyone's plate, and they all... More
