Small restaurant in Baltimore with great service and delicious food. My wife and I both tried the Slavic Sampler (potato pancake, holupki, kielbasi, and three pierogi's). My wife even had some Croatian white wine which she really liked. I want to go back and try the lamb chops. The only negative is having to find metered parking.

Visited this small Fells Point restaurant during our 10th anniversary, in August 2014. We found it online, and were quite pleased with the service, decor, and food. The borscht was nicely done, as were the perogis and shrimp and scallop risotto. You could definitely taste the mushrooms in the risotto.

We stopped in for the "Jazz Brunch" recently after attending the Polish Mass at Holy Rosary Church. It's a nice little cafe, with charming decor and a relatively diverse menu. We ordered from the brunch menu (since it was the only menu offered to us). We were at first a bit put off by the prices: a bit high for... More

My husband and I heard about Ze Mean Bean Cafe from one of my husband's coworkers. Being from the Baltimore area, it was not hard for us to find. After we found the restaurant, which is on Fleet Street, we parked and entered. We were immediately greeted, quite warmly, and seated. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. He offered to... More

Three years ago, my wife and I went to this unique neighborhood gem. We tried it again for dinner last night with much anticipation after reviewing the menu online. It is difficult where to begin. The table rocked so much that our wine flight spilled. We appreciate the rustic/Old World feel, but it is not helpful when you need to... More

Over seasoned food. Once you revive your food no service will be found. Desserts were good. But the selection of food is limited. However great bar

Reservation @1:00 pm for Sunday brunch for four. A 3-piece jazz ensemble played as we entered. There were only 2 other tables, so we expected top-notch service. Not so, sadly. We were re-connecting with friends not seen in 3 years, so we had a lot to say. It all had to be yelled above the music. What we learned was... More

We have wanted to try this restaurant and today we were in Baltimore at lunch so we stopped. Our Service couldn't have been any better. The place has an old world feel that I loved. The food was excellent. I had the lunch pierogi lunch. The pierogies were yummy and my salad was very fresh with a light dressing. The... More

I loved my pierogies but my sampler was cold and my salad had wilted greens the texture to my dressing was like it was made in a blender not hand made in a bowl service sucked I really liked the service back in January but now whoever is in charge of the kitchen needs to go back to cooking school...
