My husband and I eat at Inner Harbor a lot- Bubba Gumps, Hard Rock Cafe, Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs so after seeing Cafe Hon on Restaurant Nightmares- we decided to give it a try. It is a quaint area with lots of cute shops and it was great not to pay for parking while in Baltimore. Sometimes we spend just... More

Talk about a fun place. Besides the food being good with nice portions, this cafe on the main street with other shops and cafe's this has a full sized Elvis Presley in stance as you enter, also a pink flamingo above the door and lots of cheetah printed booths as well as the ladies room walls. There's also a vintage... More

Supporting local business is a fun way to see a town. Someone had recommended this place so my friend and I went to see what the buzz was about. The decor is kitschy and all about Baltimore which is kinda fun. Breakfast was decent. Pancakes were good, and bacon was perfectly done; the eggs were just "meh". It was busy... More

I get to Hampden once a year when my band plays at HonFest, and since Cafe Hon is close to the stage area, I often go there afterwards for a post-gig dinner. It was pretty full when I got there, so service wasn't lickety split, but considering how busy they were, and that I was seated all the way at... More

You get to a point where you DO NOT want to chain restaurants. You want to experience something unique to the area. Went there after a cousin graduated. The owner and wait staff attended to all our requests for a larger party. Food was excellent. Crabcakes are great!

My wife and I visited Café Hon last weekend for our first time. I am sorry to say I was disappointed. The menu selection was small and the food I received for the price was not worth it. If you like the ambiance of Baltimore, this place is nice. But for me, the selection and quality for what I paid... More

A diner that is stuck in time, but in a good way. Cafe Hon has a wonderful 50s feel to it that you can only find in Baltimore. The meals we have had there (breakfast and lunch) have always been good. The service is always friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. I have had their crab cake salad, which was... More

Thank you so much for such kind words. We at Cafe Hon work very hard to provide delicious casual cuisine with great local flavor, and to serve it up with warm, Bawlmor-style charm. We are looking forward to your return visit! More

I had heard about this restaurant for years, so I was excited when I finally got to visit it yesterday. Sadly, it was horrible. We arrived at 1:30 PM, long past the time when the lunch crowd would have been there. It took a long time for a server to arrive. She got us our drinks, took our order and... More

We take negative reviews very seriously, and often use them as opportunities to better our staff. As such, we research the entire visit, pulling up computerized, time-stamped records and camera recordings. Given what you listed as having ordered, it was very easy to find your check. (It is also evident that you and the other review posted on the same... More

I am a long-time Baltimorean who recently moved out of state. Back in town for a visit with family, I wanted to take my husband, who has never been to Baltimore, to a good old Baltimore establishment. I wanted him to experience that Baltimore hon-spitality that Hampden is known for. It had been a few years since my last visit... More
