Very good

I've never had a bad meal at City Cafe, consistently always good. Clean, fun and lively atmosphere. Megan should win the award for Baltimore's best waitress/server!

Allison was amazing, attentive and extremely accommodating to my dietary requests. Dinner with 7 at long table, and she was all over it with drinks first. Appetizers came out quickly and dinner followed not too closely. The 3 squash vegan dish I had was over the top delicious! Fun atmosphere and not too loud, but seems to be the 'happening'... More

We went 6-feb when restaurant week was extended. $35 for 3 course meal. Wine was another $15 and great selections with each course. I had Lamb Meatball salad, Duck, and the flourless chocolate cake. It was fabulous. The waiters were a little too helpful and attentive. But, I'm not complaining.

Arrive for a business lunch and was not disappointed by the menu. Great options with several house specials. Classic food or some unique entrees for the daring type. Overall, had a great experience.

Great lunch time atmopsher at the City cafe. Everyone seemed to be in a holiday mood. As usual the service was fast and professional as the service staff always seem to support each other. The butternut squash soup was absolutely superb!! I commented to the server it was better than Cindy Wolf's at Charlston's or Petite Louie..

Had not been in a while and glad we made it back as much better than the previous visit. Good pours on drinks, very tasty appetizers too. Try the meatless nacho as they were amazing. The Calamari was equally amazing in a light batter and perfectly done. I had the tuna as main course that was terrific and the vegan... More

For many years, I would visit the American Visionary Art Museum on the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving with a good friend. He would travel north from DC, I traveled south from PA. I no longer live in PA, so it is a takes a tad more planning now but somehow I make it happen. And after touring the show... More

We visited for saturday brunch and when we arrived we were given complimentary cinammon buns to start. My wife had the chicken and biscuits and I had the lamb burger. Chicken and biscuits were amazing. Lamb burger was not to my taste as it was not well balanced and had some spice elements overpowering the taste. The fries and small... More

I visit City Cafe about once a month, usually pre-theater on a Tuesday night. It's always terrific. They have a great cocktail list (I'm partial to the "new fangled"), a workable wine list, with modest by-the-glass prices, and really good food. My only complaint is that the newest menu doesn't have a lot of options for those of us doing... More

We've loved the City Cafe for years. The food is always delicious and the menu is varied. To name a few things, we love the Baltimore Club sandwich, shrimp 'n grits, sweet potato fries, herbed tomatoes, and bread pudding. "Steak night" is a real bargain.
