The food is good The atmosphere is very nice The staff is very professional. The only problem is the parking. You have to park in a residential neighborhood and sometimes finding a parking space can be a challenge

Whenever I've been in the mood for Greek food in Baltimore, I've always relied on Samos and had not ventured out beyond it. So, I was eager to give Ikaros a try when my husband's family wanted to take us there for dinner. To say that the decor is dated is an understatement. There is a big difference between owning... My wife and I are planning to visit Greece in a few weeks so we wanted to get an advance taste of the types of foods we might encounter. We had heard of a good restaurant in the Greek section of Baltimore called Ikaros. We decided to dine there. It was an excellent choice. As we were seated the owner... More

Great Greek restaurant. Food is very authentic Greek food. Our server, Paul was excellent! My husband's crab soup was hot and spicy. His crabcake was huge. Portions are huge for lunch. Side Greek salad is a meal in itself. My favorite Greek restaurant.

We ate at this restaurant recently with 2 other couples and everyone indicated they enjoyed their fish or lamb dishes very much. The menu is built around various Greek dishes, and there is plenty to choose from. The restaurant has atmosphere, very good food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Portions can be fairly large. Several fish were on display in... More

After receiving a gift card for this restaurant, my husband and I went there for dinner during the greek festival. Sadly, it was quite a disappointment. The older gentleman that greeted us was wonderful and friendly, but our waitress was sadly lacking in skills. She was not familiar with the menu, asked if I wanted my red wine in a... More

Located in Baltimore's Greek district, this well-grounded, modest and homely place offers traditional, simple fare in generous quantities. Unlike the struggling restaurants of Greece itself which cannot source enough lamb for millions of visitors and are forced to resort to pork, the Ikaros offering is firmly centred on lamb which is cooked any way you like, though only on a... Traditional Greek food that is a Baltimore institution. We stopped here las night after traveling home from Connecticut. Weather was terrible and I called ahead to make sure we could arrive at 9:30 and still be served since they close at 10. We arrived by 9:30 and did not feel rushed. We were the only diners left at 10 and... More

I'm new to new to Baltimore and Ikaros / staff have made me feel right at home. Authentic Greek cuisine just like my Yiya (Greek for grandmother) use to make!! Portions are generous, flavors are wonderful, staff and ownership embody the essence of true Greek hospitality!!!

Going to Ikaros is like taking a mini-vacation to Greece. The host is charming, the waiters are attentive and the food is delicious. The 3 of us shared a large Greek salad, stuffed grape leaves and phyllo dough wrapped seafood. We had the green beans with tomato sauce as our veggie -- they were delicious. Our friend even raved about... More
