Best of Greektown

Ikaros is by far my favorite of Greektown's Greek restaurants. The food is fresh and delicious—try the feta from the oven— and exceptional service! Owner Xenos and bartender Dennis especially stand out for their kindness and personalities.

We were there for a groupon deal. On the coldest night of the winter (about 10 degrees) the place had no heat. The mystery company rents the upstairs room for their event and the restaurant provides the food. The food was pretty good, salad, chicken or lamb kabobs with potatoes and green beans. There were only 2 choices for the... More

The food is average. The place is roomy but I'm not there to move in , but to eat Greek food. There are a great deal of restaurants in " Greek Town" and ! rate this one 5th or 6th.

octopus is not squid. big chunks of octopus grilled or fried diminishes the beauty and elegance of squid. The portions are too generous and unimaginatively presented. The service is clumsy and out of order. The atmosphere, though new, is "old school" 1970's.

My husband and I eat here infrequently. Without a doubt, Ikaros has the most amazing Moussaka, domades, fresh bronzini fish and lemon soup. This is my favorite restaurant to take or meet people to have a delicious meal! Always ample servings and cooked to perfection. Oh, and the drinks are delicious... Black Russian is the best!

My wife wanted to know where I wanted to go for my Birthday Special Dinner. Without any hesitation I said, "IKAROS". For us that's a long drive and tolls through tunnel from the suburbs. But this place is well worth the trip for an excellent meal of Calamari, Crab Cakes and Lamb Chops. We started with bottle of Greek wine,... More

I have enjoyed Greek Cuisine in New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles & San Francisco but, having patronized Ikaros Restaurant in Baltimore MD for the past 24 years, I can honestly say that their Greek cuisine, prepared by Greek chefs is the best I have ever enjoyed. Xenos (Zeenos) Kohilas and his son Constantine welcome each diner like they are... More

We attended a private event in their upstairs banquet room. The service was excellent, and the food was amazing. We had a greek salad, fried calamari, stuffed grape leaves. For the main course we had the crab cakes, and they were some of the best I have ever had. Large chunks of crab meat, very little filling. Would definitely recommend... More
