We LOVE Sotto Sopra. The food is always fresh and delicious. The chef is inspired and blessed with imagination and a clear knowledge of culinary expertise. The pumpkin pasta is probably one of the best things I have ever eaten. The only down side is that the tables are way too close together so romantic or private conversations are difficult.... More

We headed to this great neighborhood Italian Restaurant after a visit to the Walters Museum, which is about 4 blocks away. They had a great $18 two-course lunch. I had their house salad, which was original and tasty, followed by the rigatoni with mozzarella and eggplant (cooked al dente with a very nice sauce). Others in my group were very... More

Had an excellent pasta though there was some confusion from the waitstaff about difference between egg pasta and wheat pasta and which they were serving with what. The appetizers were also quite good though dessert a bit disappointing. Everything was very reasonably priced and overall enjoyed.

During my week-long stay in Baltimore I visited Sotto Sopra twice. Once was just not enough so I had to return three days later for a repeat. I've spent enough time in Italy to appreciate and understand real Italian cooking. Without a doubt, Sotto Sopra serves up the real deal! I started off with a plate of prosciutto accompanied by... We had a great dinner here on a quiet Sunday night. this is a small narrow restaurant with murals on the walls and darkly lit in a romantic way (but not so much so that you couldn't see the food.) The heirloom tomato caprese was over the top great as was the mushroom pasta. The mushroom pasta was very rich... More

We returned to this place for the two-course prix fixe lunch, having eaten it on our last trip to Baltimore. Everything was just as well-made and delicious as before. The price had not changed. What had changed was the value. The 1st course salads were fine...very good. The piece of salmon on my entree plate was 1 1/2 x 2... More

My wife and I celebrated our 11th anniversary here and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The waiter was wonderful and the food was delicious. The restaurant provided a romantic setting. We will definitely visit in the future.

This is a wonderful modern Italian restaurant in Baltimore. It's a bit pricey but is worth it. The restaurant uses quality ingredients and has great flavor. It's a great place to go for lunch, because you get an appetizer and entree for $18. It's also one of the best restaurant week deals because for the price of an entree, you... More

Everything about our meal was perfect. First, the manager, Mallory, came to our table with complimentary glasses of Prosecco. That's how you get dinner off to a great start! Our server Ekaterina was very friendly and cheerful. She brought over a basket of fluffy herb bread which was nothing like any bread I have ever tasted. The garlic and rosemary... More
