Small restaurant - thank god for valet parking. Great menu and wine list , all 6 of us had different meals and each was pleased with the quality, quantity and price. Service was excellent - we can see why it was highly ranked in Baltimore.

Traditional upscale Italian dining with an opera theme. Business casual attire seemed to be the order. Wonderful food with an excellent friendly staff. Interesting décor with a dramatic and romantic atmosphere.

We went to Sotto Sopra for the first time to celebrate my birthday and couldn't have been more pleased. The location, ambience, service, and food was really excellent. There is street parking available and they also have valet. We had the fried polenta and arugla/beat/goat cheese salad and I don't think I have ever had better polenta! And their bread... More

We had a terrific dinner; the squid ink pasta and the seafood risotto were both excellent, as was the frisee salad. The ambiance manages to be both posh and fun. But the waiter, Scott, truly made the experience. He was articulate, thoughtful, charming, attentive, and informed. Thanks, Scott!

A coworker and I made reservations solely based on reviews. We were not disappointed. The service by Scott was fantastic: informative, charming, and attentive, but not overbearing. The Super Tuscan wine was lovely and the frisée salad was excellent. The squid ink pasta was the highlight of the meal, though. Truly, you must try it. My only complaint is that... More

Really really good night. Seafood soup, salad, tortellini were all the best I'd had in Baltimore. Service was amazing.

As an Italian I am always very reluctant to eat at Italian restaurants. However I gave this place a shot and did not regret it. First of all there were no apetizers or pastas with chicken! (Italians eat their chicken ALONE, definitely not as an apetizer nor on pasta or pizza). 90% of dishes on the menu were actually Italian.... More

fantastic service, good to great food and a nice if overpriced wine list. Loved the atmosphere. Pork Osso bucco didn't have the depth of flavor I expect but the meat was very tender and the risotto was great. Our waiter was attentive, informative and not in the way. Loved the Parmesan cup to hold the salad which was very nicely... More

On a Friday night it was packed, which meant it was loud just by nature of architecture- it is cavernous. Several large groups & it looked accommodating to them. You definitely need a reservation. The tables for two had maybe a foot between then, and the aisles to & from the front to the back had about 18". I'm not... More

You can't go wrong here. Excellent food, quaint atmosphere, superior service makes for a special dinner. My fish entree was perfectly prepared and the presentation was very nice. The ingredients were fresh. They have a nice wine selection and excellent tiramisu. Prices were very reasonable for the high quality of the experience. Service was knowledgeable and attentive.
