Best meal so far

This was the third time we've eaten here and the best meal so far. We arrived for dinner on a Sunday night about 6pm. I highly recommend the POLLO AL FINOCCHIO E SALSICCIA. It was delicious and a generous portion unlike earlier meals I've had there that were not very large. I also had the... read more

Never again will I do business here !! I booked 27 people for a wedding rehearsal dinner this month. Arranged the dinner and negotiated with a general mgr who left the establishment. When I reached out to another employee she had no record of my conversations with the former mgr. I asked to speak with the owner and he never... More

I found this restaurant on trip advisor and could not have been more pleased! From the atmosphere, the service to an outstanding menu! The waiter assisted in our selections and everything we had was wonderful! I will definitely return when I am in the Baltimore area again. One of the best kept local secrets which are the best finds!

We went on a Tuesday evening for a quiet family dinner. The service, atmosphere and setting was lovely. The beet and goat cheese salad was perfectly balanced and the boy loved the calamari starter (what can 8 say he feasts happily on burgers and calamari). No burgers here, but he was smitten with the ravioli and I loved my veal... More

I am never disappointed when I go to Sotto Sopra. The food is delicious, presented beautifully, and served graciously. My first choice for authentic Italian food in Baltimore.

Not disrepect to the traditional restaurants in Little Italy, but this is by far the best Italian restaurant in the city. Food is always spot on and service is wonderful. Third Sunday of each month is Opera Night, always lots of fun. They have an interesting wine list with some fun and not always readily available wines. It is a... More

For me the highlight here is the outstanding fresh pasta. I wish that they had more vegetarian and vegan options, but this is some pretty respectable Italian food. I went there during restaurant week. It was a fixed price menu and a really good value.

We have eaten here many many times over the years we have lived in Baltimore. The restaurant is centrally located, serves fresh, delicious, authentic Italian dishes. We have a short term rental in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood, and Sotto Sopra is always on the list of recommendations we leave for our guests.

This restaurant is, of course, famous for dinner especially opera nights. But it is also a hidden gem and a good value for a quiet and intimate lunch. One of my faves.

Portions are generous and service is fast and friendly. The usual Italian items are on the menu; the food is good, but not extraordinary. Often live (jazz) mudic or else old jazz music clips are shown on the huge video screen. Great family restaurant or date night a little later in the evening.
