Good Italian in a classic space

I did the 4 course tasting menu with friends. Nice wine selection at reasonable prices. We started with fried calamari and it was very well prepared. Even deep fried lemon slices which you don't often get... wonderful. I had the polenta ricardo- fried polenta cake with fennel and covered... read more

This is a cozy place with a great bar and excellent food. From the presentation of the salad (some are architectural masterpieces), to the incredible desserts, you will not be disappointed. The restaurant is great for both families and couples. Noise level allows for easy conversation.

Solid appetizers the polenta with prosciutto was amazing. Handmade raviolis as an entrée were perfect portion and size not leaving bloated. Servers helped us navigate the wine menu to a perfectly paired wine with our entrée. Valet parking at six dollars is definitely reasonable because parking is tough down there. The Decore and ambience were classy yet not stuffy. We... More

Went on a business dinner, three people, nice setting. Started with cheese and meat platter, cheeses were excellent, cold meats good too but they have never been my favourite. The main courses were very good. I had the risotto with mushrooms and duck confit, it was very good even though the duck leg was under the broiler too long. co-workers... More

The service is good and the waiters know what they are talking about, but the food does not live up to the high prices and the quality of the food. The main meat dish I had was undercooked and had to be returned. The only thing that was good was the salad and the bread. My husband's dish was the sea... More

This is Baltimore's best kept secret. From the atmosphere to the service and food it was a wonderful experience! We took our waiters recommendations and each one was outstanding. This food is comparable to the best New York Italian restaurants. I would definitely return. Don't waste your time on Little Italy as they are over rated.

I had a beef dish and my husband had duck. The food was prepared wonderfully, the service was super and the waiter had a wonderful knowledge of wine selections. I would definately go there again and recommend it to others.

Ate there as a celebration for our daughter's graduation at Johns Hopkins. Unlike a previous reviewer, I loved the tight convivial feel that made me feel like is was back in Italy. Wonderful space- high ceilings, murals, huge mirrors, rich fabrics. Service was very friendly and attentive. Food not rushed (again, Italy). Pasta home made and melt in the mouth.... More

We took our board to dinner here on the Saturday of the Preakness and college graduations. They packed us into a space that was too tight for a fine dining experience. There were not enough servers. Our pre-orders (wine and appetizers) were seemingly unknown to our server even though we had been assurded he was informed. After one bottle, they... More

I really liked this restaurant, from the warm welcome by a young man named Sean (sp?), who couldn't have been nicer or more well-versed about the menu, and the space itself was charming with a blend of old and new that I really liked. Food was excellent, the kitchen knows what they're doing here, and the drinks were equally delish.... More
