A great Italian restaurant

The Tuna TarTar and Carbonara was great. So was the service and the valet. However, I prefer Grano Emporio in Hampden. Nice stroll if staying around inner harbor.

For a restaurant that tries to position itself as a "Fine Dinning" establishment, this was let down. The stab at formality floundered as Maitre'd, server, and back waiter tripped over themselves while failing to execute even BASIC service etiquette. Empty drink glasses on the table throughout service, plates passed via the guests to patrons not seated where the server could... More

Aldo's works on every level and offers the environment for anything from a business dinner, to a romantic getaway, to a family affair, to a group celebration. I have enjoyed Aldo's for all of these events. When I can, I skip the valet parking and park on one of Italy's side streets. It is a nice, busy, safe neighborhood. Just... More

Was in town for the CAA bb tournament, used to dine here regularly when my son was at J Hopkins grad school. Seated at the worst table in the restaurant, upper floor next to runners / service area, maybe because my son & I didn't have sport coats on. 3 apps, 1 entrée, $83 bar / wine = $200 +... More

Excellent service, fine food, interesting menu choices. Not cheap. If you are in the mood for a fine meal and want to spend some money this is a great choice. There is no parking but there is valet service in front of the establishment for $10. If your idea of a fine itlanian meal is chicken Parmesan this isn't for... More

Never been here before, we were visiting on a business trip. Terrific ambiance, very helpful staff and excellent wait staff. Food was top notch. I would recommend without reservation--great place for Italian, especially if you aren't counting your pennies!

Our experience with the food here was really disappointing. The ossobuco sauce tasted like canned gravy and the meat was very stringy, suggesting that it hadn’t been cooked for long enough as a proper ossobuco should be. The pastas we ordered, an orecchiette and linguine, were heavily over-salted. Bread was cold and stale. The appetizers were better; in hindsight, I... More

This was my first Christmas Eve not to be home cooking the Feast of the Fishes for my family. It was also our first time at Aldo's and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We took a short taxi ride from our Harborplace Hotel to Little Italy. Aldo's looks small from the outside, but has room after room of areas to dine,... More

We were in on a quiet Tuesday evening early (6:00), so it wasn't very crowded. The waiter was very attentive and the service was great. Not too quick and not too slow. I like not getting rushed out the door. Everything from the bread and olive oil to the salads to the sea bass and the veal piccata were excellent.... More

One of my top places to go in Baltimore. First came here for restaurant week and the food was delicious! The steak was perfectly cooked. Service was impeccable and awesome ambience.
