Trip to Little Italy

We were with a small group of friends on a quiet weeknight. The service and dishes were good. The dining spaces are smaller, more private residence sized, and therefore cozy and comforting. Individuals quality varied by what was ordered. One pasta dish was way too salty while the other one was... read more

Aldo's is a bit of an institution in Baltimore's "Little Italy" and we were looking forward to celebrating a friends birthday with fine food, wine, exemplary service and friendship. Saddly, the food wine and service were lacking. The evening was saved only by sharing the table with good friends. After being seated in the upstairs dining room, which is a... More

Introduced to this fine dining Italian restaurant by my sister, we have returned many times for special occasions and romantic dinners. We have had several fine dishes - carpaccio, lobster risotto, salads, steaks and veal and my all time favorite from this past summer Bronzino served with a little fresh tomato salad. I still dream about that dish and can't... More

After a stellar meal years ago, we chose Aldo's for our New Year's Eve celebration. It was still as beautiful and upscale, providing excellent service as we remembered. However, the food was terrible. The seared tuna appetizer was presented as a small, round tortilla, looking like something from a Mexican restaurant. My escargot in puff pastry was soupy with a... Romantic setting in Little Italy. The food was 5 star. The calamari was done perfectly. The Osso Buca was done to perfection as was the Veal Saltanboca. Finish with a cannoli and cappacino. Great evening with superb service.

This was the first time Id been back to Aldo's in 10 years. The place is clean and beautiful and the service is excellent. The food was ok and the computer poured drinks are way overpriced. Overall way too expensive for the experience.

With only one night in Baltimore and a yearning for Italian food, my friend and I decided on Aldo's in Little Italy, and ended up enjoying one of the most delicious dinners we've ever had. The portions are generous, the pastas perfectly cooked & sauced, and the Veal Saltimbocca was to die for. The wine list is expansive and expensive,... More

Recently celebrated a family member's birthday. We had a small separate room. They did a great job accommodating our group. Very helpful finding a place to set up the decorations. Made sure all the food came out at the same time for a large group, not easy. Everyone was very please with their food. The fresh pasta was awesome. Crabcakes... More

We liked the pasta dishes, and the spinach salad was good, but not as good as the pasta entrees. Beer selection was bottle only and solid, the chianti was also complementary to the dinner. Tiramisu was recommended, but , merely OK.

If you want a more formal evening, with classic Italian food served in a formal but not over the top dining room, this place is for you. Dined with my parents, and everything, from crab cake to Osso Bucco to salads, was delicious.
