OK, as you pull up to this place, you know you are taking a trip back in time. This is a pizza place that your parents and even grandparents could have visited and you get that feel from the moment you walk up to the venue with it above street level seating and it bold neon signage. Don't let that... More

Got take out tonight. Ordered a 'large' pizza, was supposed to be white with chicken and broccoli but somehow sauce was on it. The pizza was decent if you're looking for something similar to pizza hut's personal pan pizza. That's about the size of the 'large' pizza but way more expensive. They say it's not doughy but I disagree. If... More

This place is a favorite pizza place for many locals. Their standard pizza choices are really tasty, and well worth your visit. I would suggest that you stay away from the "special pizza" choices, and stick with the more traditional types, like sausage and mushroom, etc. Their other dishes, like pasta and meat balls, range from just average to pretty... We recently decided to have a "staycation" day and I researched places we could bring the kids to. I have one very picky eater, so a place with pasta or rice is a must for us. I saw the earlier reviews on this place, saw the pasta on the menu, and knew we had to try it. We easily found... More

Disclaimer: I'm a pizza addict. That said, the pizza at Mathew's was pretty good, 8 out of 10. I asked the waitress for a suggestion and she suggested a thai Chili pizza with old bay shrimp. Meh, not something I'd normally order but I figured what the heck. It was good, I guess, but I should have went with my... More

Old school place with a lot of character. Small and easy to miss. Make sure you don't! The crab pizza may be the best pizza I've ever had. I'm looking forward to going back.

Located close to Patterson Park, you almost miss this store-front restaurant if you don't look closely. It is nicely decorated but definitely NOT FANCY. It is a locals type italian pizzeria. The pizza only come in two deep-dish styles -- 8" & 10". Their signature pizza is the Crab Pizza which comes ONLY in 10". They do have other items... More

I used to live nearby, and decided to stop in on a recent visit back in the area. Matthew's hasn't changed much in the past 25 years, but something happened to the pizza. What used to taste fresh and different Wuthering fresh cheese and chunks of tomatoes now comes out overdone and almost burnt tasting. Crust was great as usual,... More

There's a reason they're always at the top. You can't beat their pizza, been around for decades. Graded parmesan is my favorite.

My go-to when I am craving pizza. Fresh, unique, and delicious. The only thing that could improve my review would be if they delivered.
