We had a party of four and had reservations for a couple months. We got an ok table, kind of in the back where it was very dark. They have a great wine list ($$$ a lot of mark up) food was yummy but I don't think I would make it a weekly or monthly affair. 1. Price(don't get me... read more

Go there for a special occasion or celebration. It is completely memorable for a foodie. The fixed price option gives you flexibility on how many courses you want which is lovely. Everything we had was spectacular. The service was wonderful, attentive but not intrusive. Wait staff is very knowledgable and makes great recommendations after learning about the diner. Don't go... My wife and I were in Baltimore to see the musical Wicked and for dinner it was recommended we try Charleston. My wife and I had an amazing evening. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The food was exquisite. It is pricy but I felt the experience was worth it.

Charleston Restaurant has much going for it - high-quality ingredients prepared with care, tradition with creativity that works, a very professional yet personable staff - and we enjoyed the experience. But the old-school French approach of butter and cream in every preparation, save for the arugula salad, made the dishes unnecessarily heavy so I won't be back soon. Unusually, dessert... More

The only criticism I would have was being seated in a pretty dark dining room (the restaurant was not near being full), and the swordfish, while tasty, was a quite thin piece of fish. Overall, however this is an outstanding restaurant. Impeccable service, attention to detail and a wine list to cry over (especially after seeing the prices!) There are... More

Great restaurant with attentive service and an innovative approach to a menu and food Smaller plates with a selection to choose from that runs from ~$70 for 3 courses and $110 with wine pairings for each course The selection was great and full of different and tasty takes on dishes Service was attentive from start to finish and including the... I booked this restaurant at random off of google for a business dinner Friday night. It is about two miles from Penn Station so it was a quick taxi ride from the Accela from DC. What awaited was a restaurant of incredible complexity and surroundings with food pairings that were out of this world. Wine pairings were available and you... More

I have dined at Charleston numerous times in the past and always leave feeling the same way, I wish I would visit more often. This visit was a special occasion, my wife's 50th birthday with 11 people with a set menu and wine pairings. As usual the team a Charleston never fails to impress and deliver professional service whether for... More

This is my new favorite restaurant in Baltimore. Charleston is hands down amazing in every aspect. Since my words cannot accurately do justice and accurately depict the high quality, subtle flavors, and seemingly intricate preparation of each dish here, I'll save myself the embarrassment. What you do need to know is that every item on Charleston's menu is fabulous. You... More

Outstanding meal with great attention to detail. Truly high cuisine but at a fairly high price (I think worth it for special occasions). Setting is quite nice - better for business or formal celebration of sorts, but not overly pompous. Definitely recommend for a special night out.
