I come to this restaurant once a year when in town. The service is flawless, the food is delicious, the wine divine. Charleston is def one of my favorite restaurants and I look forward to it every year!

Everyone at some point in their lives should have the opportunity to dine (and I do mean "dine" and not just "eat") at a place like Charleston. The management here really does try hard to cover all angles so that you can look forward to relaxing and enjoying a delicious meal. Parking is sometimes a challenge in the Harbor East... More

If you love a tasting menu that leaves you full and not starving, this is your destination. The fried oysters which I had been craving were excellent - crisp outside, melty inside. My companions had crab cakes (mostly crab) and rockfish, which was excellent. My duck was just ever so slightly dry but a minor thing. Desserts (included) were heavenly.... More

Really enjoyed a meal here on a Friday night after a long drive into Baltimore. Charleston has a classic old-style dining ambience with all the modern touches. Relaxed, quiet enough to talk easily, not so quiet that it feels awkward; perfect. Food ranged from good to excellent. Excellent choices included the foie gras, lobster soup with curry (give me a... Food was not as good as I expected. Every dish was rather salty although the presentation was beautiful and artistic. The servers although attentive didn't seem to be trained well for a fining dining restaurant. While this restaurant was rated the best in Baltimore, we were very disappointed, esp having to drive so far to get there.

I came here in NOV (after a wonderful 5* 1st visit in JUN), and we did not have the level of experience we've come to known with Foreman Wolfe. They were kind enough to email me personally last time I gave them a nice review of Cinghiale, so I did them the courtesy of emailing them after this experience. I... More

It's an annual event for us, celebrating our anniversary at the Charleston. We usually start with a glass of champagne. This year as they no longer serve Veuve Cliquot by the glass we took the recommendation of the bartender. He poured us each a glass of Deutz NV Brut. It was very good with a hint of green apple but... More

Every aspect of the Charleston experience was excellent. The food and service were fantastic both at the bar and throughout dinner. The atmosphere was conducive to both romance and business. I had noted details of a special occasion in my OpenTable reservation and several accommodations were made by the restaurant to escalate the experience even beyond an excellent baseline. Of... More

The food was excellent, the service was perfect. Had a four course meal that would be hard to pick out which dish was better than the last. This establishment is one of the finest meals of my life. Oh yea ... the wine list is stunning! If you love food, go to Baltimore and eat here.

We drove from DC to meet our daughter in Baltimore, taking her to Charleston to celebrate her birthday. We had read about Charleston and had been looking for the opportunity to go there. Overall, the restaurant was quite good, but I did not feel it quite lived up to it's reputation. Upon reflection, my primary issue was with a single... More
