Fantastic!

Had a wonderful dinner here this weekend. THe menu has lots of varied and unique options. We chose to do several small plates and sides to take advantage of as many wonderful things as possible! I'll give it 5 stars for flavors and the excellent server who took care of our party of 4. It gets 1 star for the amount of fat, sugar and salt in the food. The problem is that fat, sugar and salt really taste great but really aren't all that healthful. I couldn't finish my shrimp and grits. The shrimp... More

We went there for my daughters 31st Birthday and had a wonderful dinner. The food was very fresh and delicious and the drinks were great. They do everything fresh which for me was great. The service was great and although it is a bit noisy we had no problem talking with each other. I believe reservations on the weekend are... More

We had dinner at the Food Market last night. And everything from beginning to end was delicious. We didn't have a reservation but were lucky enough to be seated right away at the community table. Our server was top notch and had fantastic recommendations. We kept commenting on how we loved and ate every bite of everything we ordered. For... More

The Food Market is like many of other restaurants on 36th street in Hampden. The chef tries too hard and the food is over wrought and over priced. The duck entree we ordered was dry and disappointing. The ingredients were: duck parts breast, confit wing, foie spaetzle, mustard greens, peanut butter, and cherry. And, at $27 we expected a terrific... More

I thought the whole idea behind restaurant week was to show off. Food Market was one of the few Baltimore City restaurants that had some great choices on their menu. I had lettuce wraps as an app, then a delicious duck entrée. The bread pudding was sooo good. My husband had an ahi tuna app and a short rib entrée... More

My husband and I have been wanting to check out The Food Market for a long time. We finally were able to get a reservation during restaurant week, even better! It is such a warm and inviting space, with a mix of modern and vintage decor. We sat at one of hightop tables near the window, which provided for an... More

I had lunch here with a friend and our adult daughters. The only reservation we could get was at 6 pm and the place was already packed! Food Market is a restaurant/bar with an urban chic vibe. It has really delicious, creative appetizers and wonderful dinners.. We had three appetizers; the hot pretzels, the duck wings, and the shrimp in... More

First time diner. Sat at the bar. Bartenders were great about making suggestions for all of the amazing food. Ultimately I wish I had more room to try different meals. Just ask for suggestions based on your preferences. You can't go wrong. Cocktails were good to go! As an infrequent visitor to Charm City, it was my first time in... More
