I usually wait until I have dined at a restaurant a few times before giving it a review. I really think what separates a very good restaurant from all the others is it's consistency. Let's face it, any restaurant can have a good night or a bad night. I have dined at the Food Market several times and I can... More

A recent visit to the Food Market proved to be an underwhelming experience. Our bread wasn't fresh, but our appetizer (fried green tomatoes) was pretty good. Entrees didn't live up to our expectations. I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were chewy and over-cooked and the small portion of grits lost in a sea of sauce. My wife had... More

This restaurant fills an interesting niche- high-end comfort food in a casual setting. Fortunately, the hip vibe does not mean that soon-to-be senior citizens were made to feel in any way uncomfortable. Our waiter was extremely well-informed, patient, and attentive. We had made an online reservation, and only waited two minutes to be seated. My appetizer was the high point... More

Love this place--the menu is innovative, the food is delicious, the wait staff is so nice and accommodating--I highly recommend it But--be prepared--the noise level is intense--try not to go with a group, as you will not hear what anyone is saying I understand that a place is popular because it has a "buzz", but this goes a bit too... We went there for a friend's birthday celebration. It was a last minute thing and it was Friday night. We couldn't make reservations but went anyways. We were expecting to wait for about 30 minutes so we sat at the bar and had a drink. After we ordered, we ended up getting a table right by the front window. It... More

Maybe they were having an off night, but we went here for dinner on a Saturday night, so you would expect their A game. Waited 45 minutes past our reservation to be seated. Had the quickest meal at a restaurant in my life as the servers were basically throwing the dishes at us. It was pretty obvious that we were... More

We stumbled across this restaurant while visiting our son, who is attending Johns Hopkins. We actually walked from the JHU campus (though we wouldn't necessarily advise others to do this, as the best walking route includes a trail through the woods that is somewhat steep and treacherous). The restaurant is located in Hampden, a small bohemian community featuring many small... More

Went here for brunch, and had a very nice meal. Service was great, and the food was very tasty. The menu has lots of options spanning from breakfast through dinner, and everything seemed to be very fresh and pack a lot of flavor. We will definitely come back to eat here again!

We loved the variety of menu items and excellent service at this Hampden restaurant. The Nico cocktail is unusual but delicious (muddled strawberries, vodka, amaretto and champagne). The menu has a large selection of appetizers, small plates and large plates. There were so many interesting choices, but we were in the mood for burgers and theirs are outstanding. Service was...
