Over the years I have visited different restaurants at this location. La Famiglia has been here circa 5 years. Friends rave about the cuisine so on a recent visit to Baltimore I dined there. The ambience has remained the same and the restaurant has retained strong support from the locals. The menu is extensive and the service, superb. I could... More

Good service, but the food preparation left a bit to be desired. The clams casino were swimming in butter....and the soft shell crabs sautéed in brown butter were saturated and just too greasy.....add that to a $12.00 Vodka and grapefruit juice, and it wasn't such a great evening.

Stopped here on our first night in Baltimore as it was easy access to the hotel. Very few people in the restaurant which is usually a red flag. We were pleasantly surprised by the food. Everything was delicious. The bolognaise was excellent and the linguine with clam was chocked full of clams both in the shell and already in the... More

La Famiglia is located a couple of blocks from the Doubletree Inn at the Colonnade. It is located on the ground floor of an apartment building. The veal chop was good, as was the chicken paillard. The accompanying vegetables were lack-luster, but acceptable. Nothing in the dinner was bad, just not something that you might drive a mile to eat.... More

Nice location in walking distance from the doubletree hotel. Standard Italian fare with some surprises. I had mushroom risotto and my hubby had a pasta dish both were good..bread was very nice and warm as well.

Everything was very good - finally a restaurant suitable for conversation -- tables are well-spaced and decor has good sound absortion. Good wine choices, good service, entrees enjoyed by all - pasta bolognese and softshell crab special. My one criticism is the salad was fresh and tasty but small for the price.

I came highly recommended to La Famiglia. Had been a fan of Bocacio's where owner Dino used to manage. Adored the calamari, flash fried with warm marinara, halibut with lump brab was to-die-for, great wine. Tiramisu melted in my mouth. Best to eat outside in season on their outdoor patio, full of plants and a good vibe. Free parking is... More

Good food and good company with Bert the bartender. This is a regular post-symphony haunt for us. Always greeted warmly.

I am a "glass half full" kind of person and my resume reflects lots of positive reviews. This is a 2, only because others in my party have been here before with a better experience and the server was genuinely very nice. The house salad was full of celery and old cucumbers, bread wasn't exactly stale but not fresh either,... More
