The Thames Street Oyster House is in a historic townhouse along the waterfront in Fells Point, Inner Harbor, Baltimore. It is justifiably popular. The staff is knowledgeable and accommodating - my mother-in-law uses a walker and they were concerned with seating us upstairs. The hostess carried the walker and gave us a table near the top of the stairs. (There... More

On a rainy winter Sunday afternoon recently we experimented with this restaurant and were very pleased with our experience. It was really a perfect, relaxed day. Our server Joel was excellent, offering up a deep knowledge and enthusiasm for everything on the menu we wanted to discuss. We started off with delicious, creative cocktails, fresh raw oysters from multiple East... More

We stumbled across this gem as we were getting ready to leave Baltimore after a visit. We just made it for brunch menu and the raw bar which would have available anyway. The octopus and chowder were unbelievable! From the raw bar - oysters (hubby said were amazing), jonah crab claws and escargot were delicious. Topped off with dessert of... More

No sense, IMO, to order anything else. My group had lobster and clam rolls (good, but bready) calamari (crispy/delish) and of course, raw oysters (wonderful). Expensive, good wine list. Kinda noisy but to be expected in this Fells Point trendy spot. Don't bother going without a res. Recommend. Enjoy.

Had a dozen oysters which were, some of the freshest I had ever had out. Place was bustling at 530 pm on a Tuesday which speaks volumes to me. I totally believe if you go to happy hour in a major city and the place is dead, its probably cause it sucks. This was not the case. That really got... More

Don't eat here if u don't like oysters. I am not an oyster fan and we took a friend from out of town here for the oysters. Actually it's pretty much all they serve. I know the name says Oyster House but I would have preferred more variety for the non oyster lover

Bob from max's referred us, super glad we took his advice. Great food. Very busy. If you know you'll be stopping by call for a reservation!

Great food, good service, nice "buzz", good wine list & brews. The raw oysters are sourced from many locations and always fresh-tasting. The folks working behind the bar, and those seating patrons, are very friendly. We've never had a disappointing meal here (and we're rather hard to please); we always order fish or shellfish, although they do have other animals... More

The place was packed and the waiting time about an hour, no surprise without a reservation. So we waited in the bar area and were lucky to score a seat. We started with the raw bar and ordered several oysters, quahog clams, Jonah crab claws. Oysters were super fresh and very tasty. They have a nice assortment of them. Then... More

Creative, fun cocktails: I love their "tony Martinez" served on crushed ice with amaro and gin. Delicious oysters from waters around the East Coast: you can mix and match different selections on the same plate. We always get a fried clam roll ($14) and a lobster roll ($23). These are full belly clams, not Howard Johnson style clam strips. Skip... More
