This place ROCKS! What a gem of an oyster house with a wonderful bar, a terrific variety of oysters, excellent and super friendly staff, and without a doubt the most fantastic crab cakes ever. My wife asked "how much breading" and the answer was an emphatic "zero". Casual, comfortable, and a great location. This place is not to be missed!

Go, eat, enjoy, you will not be disappointed!! They proved to me why they are the Trip Advisor #1 ranked restaurant in Baltimore.

Octopus overcooked or not fresh, blackened bluefish sandwich was not great! Nice/friendly bartender. Prices were fair.

After viewing the positive feedback here we decided to make a reservation during our trip with our seven year old son. We were a little nervous about taking out son, but at no point felt that he was unwelcome. The restaurant had a busy noise the whole time with lots of conversation. This is not a quiet dining trip, which... More

I was visiting Baltimore for a conference and picked this restaurant as it was THE top suggestion of tripadvisor and once again tripadvisor was so right! The place was packed with a long wait for table and even the bar was full, so I waited for the bar to empty: I sat at the bar and chat with a local... More

If you happen to be in Baltimore, don't pass up a chance to go to the Thames Street Oyster House. My husband and I went for lunch on a Saturday. It was crowded and we had to wait, but it was well worth it. We started our lunch by ordering a shrimp cocktail from the raw bar order sheet (I... More

We arrived around 4:15pm to secure a table - ended up out front enjoyably within earshot of the band playing at the Pub next door! Our drinks, appetizers, and entrees were fantastic - all three of actually had the fried soft shell crabs! Our server was very attentive. It was a perfect evening meal! Thanks!

This place has the best seafood in the city. The raw bar is amazing and the hot menus is so unique and tasty. The waiters are always super efficient and so friendly. It's very noisy but can't be helped in such a narrow tiled row house. The grilled octopus is TDF!

Went for a quick weekend to Baltimore and dropped into this place for lunch. The doors just opened and there was a line but well worth it!! We had the calamari and lobster mac & cheese to start and shrimp roll and fish and chips for our mains. This was by far the best shrimp salad roll I've ever eaten.... More
