We wanted to try some good authentic crab cakes, where locals would go, while we were in Baltimore for a few days. After a decent amount of convincing locals we didn't want the typical tourist places, we had a few recommendations here. We are very very glad we chose Thames Street Oyster House. First off, it is in an area... More

I absolutely love this place. We didn't make reservations and I highly suggest you do! This place is tiny and gets packed for good reason! The food is so freakin fresh. And the selections you have are out of this world. Love the bar setting and the waiters! They are great! Want to go back really soon!

Best lobster roll in baltimore. Although there is not much competition in this market, it still manages to crush it. Note that it is a warm lobster, not the typical cold lobster roll.

Traveling for business from Wisconsin, I wanted to get some good seafood while I could. This place did not disappoint. I walked in, no reservation, at sat at the bar. The place was packed, but the bar seats moved a little faster than the tables. I was promptly attended to by the bartender. Friendly, but not invasive to a solo... More

A friend and I walked in and ate at the bar. The bartenders were so nice and friendly. The broth of the steamed mussels was excellent; I couldn't stop dipping the bread even though I had a fried oyster po boy coming. People next to us had a beautiful seafood platter with oysters, shrimp and crab claws. I wanted to... More

When I arrived at the Thames Street Oyster House, I was a little put off when the hostess made it seem like she was doing me a favor to put my name on the waiting list. Having now eaten there, I totally realize she DID, in fact, do me a favor and I owe her an apology. Simply put, I... More

What can you say, they ARE an oyster house - but they sure do it well! We had some Judith Point Salt Oysters from Rhode Island that were the best we've ever tasted. They weren't flushed out and had all of that salty goodness! Now you certainly did pay for them at $2.75 a piece. And the beer on tap... More

This is my favorite place for oysters in Maryland. An informal friendly restaurant with a special menu for oysters - 16 varieties when we visited in Seprember 2014. We tried half of the variety and they user all outstanding. The service is great, and the atmosphere wonderful.

I LOVED this place!! The food was EXCELLENT and FRESH! I had the lobster roll, which was oh so good!. My friends and I shared our food, so I had a chance to taste the crab cakes and Monk fish. It was so tasty. The sides were excellent, the brussel sprouts was DELICIOUS; the squash tasted like dessert; and the... More

This is a must if you're choosing between restaurants in the Inner Harbor. We enjoyed an amazing late Sunday Brunch. (Had reservations) Were seated at a table upstairs by the window which was bright and sunny and not as loud. Outdoor seating looked fun but none was available. Unique cocktail menu. We started with Oyster Shooters and half dozen oysters... More
