This is a great casual, seafood restaurant which stays open late. Enjoyed restaurant week special - but there are plenty of specials and you should definitely check Groupons. The crab cakes and mussels were great. Portion was large so make sure you are hungry and enjoy ready to enjoy great Maryland seafood.

This was our second time visiting, and our second visit that was fantastic. Greg, our server, took care of us for both visits, and as we expected from the first visit, he was perfectly attentive, very friendly, and made us feel incredibly welcome. From now on I'll be requesting his section when we visit. Our food was great! We got... More

But you can't get a better omelet in Baltimore or Anne Arundel County. The coffee is bitter, and the service is slow (there are often large groups being served). But those omelets... Big, flavorful, high-quality ingredients ... You gotta love 'em!

I teach dance in Canton, StudioDNA, and when I finished one eve, my client/friend and I went to Captain James for a late night bite. The server was very attentive and kind. The crab soup and shrimp salad was spot on amazing. The place has been redone since I was there last and it looks so nice and comfortable. The... More

We were heading to Baltimore to see a show at the Ram's Head Live and I wanted to try some place that was not tourist trap (like Phillips) or too pricey, or too crowded. I used trip advisor to find Captain James Crabhouse & Restaurant. I made a reservation on Open Table (easy easy) and I was even called later... More

We arrived on a Saturday night and were seated about 45 minutes after arriving. Cool atmosphere inside a boat but not very big. Our server Greg was funny and efficient and greeted us with a smile. We got the shrimp appetizer with lemon garlic which was ok not great. I got the crab cakes which were the biggest most plump... More

We went to the Crabhouse this summer to have crab as we were in Baltimore for the first time. It was a beautiful evening to sit on the patio and enjoy the crab. We enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the food. Our waiter was wonderful and helped us to pick the best choice for us.

After spending the day @ Fells Point we were directed by one of the locals to Captain James for dinner. Man did that guy know what he was talking about. A great summer day to sit on the patio overlooking the dock and enjoy the breeze. Our waiter was great but the best was yet to come, the all you... More

Off the beaten path with plenty of free parking and access from water taxi, if you came to Baltimore to try the crab cakes you must try these...hard to find any filler or bread crumbs however large delicious clumps of lump crab were in abundance, and the same goes for the stuffed mushrooms...unbelievable amount of succulent lump crab

I really wanted to like this place. On the plus side, our server was great and some of the food was quite tasty. The seafood nachos are an interesting and delicious starter, certainly worth a try. The salmon pasta dishes are also quite good with lots of flavor and large portions. Unfortunately the restaurants signature crabcakes fall far flat of... More
