Great Customer Service!

I went to Captain James around 3pm on a Saturday, was able to get a great seat outdoors at the Crab-house, without waiting. I loved eating outdoors on the water and the crabs were delicious. We ordered Large crabs that were very tasty and prices were comparable for Baltimore restaurants. I will... read more

We visited tonight with Grandmom, Grandpop, Aunt and Uncle, Mom, Dad and the main man of the hour, Mr. Two Year Old Toddler! Many other restaurants cower in fear at that kind of a table. However, Greg, our server, was patient with the terrible-twos-tantrums, helpful with the menu, and very timely with the service. The food was well prepared and... More

Nice sunny and cool evening to eat outdoors by the water. Menu on water side of the street is limited but restaurant has a full menu. We enjoyed Maryland crabs, shrimp, corn, and cream of crab chowder. A bit pricey for such casual dining but the food was worth it. Restaurant puts auto gratuity on bill which always surprises me.

We went on Monday and had a lovely dining experience. Not only were we still during happy hour specials but we also lucked out and there was a wonderful crab cake special as well. Our server Paul, was wonderful, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Giving us a little info on the restaurant and bringing us one of the carry out menus.... More

Food was good. It seemed that the crab had ammonia added. They wouldn't change the clam for me as it bacon in it.

Searching for a non chain seafood restaurant is not really possible in Cleveland, but we had no problems in Baltimore. I am so glad we chose Captain James! Defintiley make reservations - it is not a large place. I had a crab cake (DELISH and had very large pcs of crab), crab stuffed mushrooms and calamari. I was incredibly pleased... More

This place was amazing. It was my first trip here but not my last. The food was soooo good and you could taste how fresh and LOCAL the seafood was. I enjoyed myself.

A quick dinner last month that turned out not to be not that quick. The food the place offers is very nice and there is plenty of it. However the wait is on a long side of it... We were there for a relatively quick dinner that turned into a long stay. To be fair we first were waiting for... More

Okay, I wanted to try the famous crab cakes from Maryland! I found Captain James on a map from the water taxi service. I am so glad that I went and even happier that I took Greg the bartendar's recommendation! He recommended the crab cakes and the steamed oysters! They both were really good!! And he was right, they were... More
