Great spot right off water taxi however what out on their pricing. None of the crab prices are on the menu or drink prices. They bring out a tray of crabs showing you sizes and each one has a number on it 69 89 etc. you assume that's cents per crab. WRONG!! It's per dozen 69 dollars a dozen!! Fish... More

We were waiting for the Blue Angels to fly across the Harbour and had a small window for lunch. At first the manager was reluctant to seat us, but we assured him we would be quick - strange as the place was not that busy, but anyhoo ... The MD crab soup was lovely. Three of us had the crab... More

At a great location right in the harbor. Two restaurants seperated by the road: Harbor side restaurant offers smaller menu but outdoor seating. Other restaurant is more formal - but still casual. The service was promt and friendly as well as informed - helped us shell our delicious blue crab that was priced right for the item. YUM!

I don't know about the restaurant, but eating steamed crabs with a cold beer at the crab shack was a great way to end the summer. We selected a dozen jumbo steamed crabs with slaw and corn on the cob. The crabs were spicy, and meaty! Every bite was delicious. We enjoyed sitting outside at a picnic table, and making... More

While in Baltimore, Maryland a couple of weekends ago, my family and I decided to visit the Captain James Crabhouse for lunch. We had a pretty large party of 9 and we were seated within about five minutes which was a plus in my book. After being seated, we were given menus and placed our drink orders….another plus. Now here... More

And not in a good way. This must be a place for locals (wait, I'm quasi local and I would not select this again), or perhaps the crab house portion is better than the restaurant. In any event parking lot was full so you put the car a couple blocks away and walk. We had a fairly large party on... More

Visited Captain James restaurant (not at the dock) on recommendation from locals. The Cream of Crab soup is a must try ...hands down the best soup I have ever eaten! Crab cakes were fantastic as well. Easy to get to because the water taxi takes you right to the Captain James dock and walk thru across the street to the... More

Maybe it's only us, but it was too salty. Staff was so busy that it took a long time to get their attention. Be careful not to order too much. Of course you can take the leftover to go, but we didn't want to mess up our room while crashing the crabs.

If the restaurant didn't already look tacky enough from the outside, the inside was even tackier! Unless I am at a bar eating dinner, I don't expect very loud music and tv's in a dinning room where I am eating. The service was awful. Our waitress was not attentive at all. I guess since her tip was already added to... More

Love this place!! Great casual outdoor atmosphere and superb crabs! We also added hush puppies and boardwalk fries. My family makes it a point to include Captain James whenever we visit the Harbor. A little costly but worth it.
