Description: When you inherit a space as magical as the historic former Baltimore...
When you inherit a space as magical as the historic former Baltimore & Ohio Railroad headquarters, you've got to do it justice. We kept our building's most stunning architectural features intact while updating the space with contemporary design elements and nostalgic touches, like chairs and table lamps from original B&O dining cars. Our practices are distinctly 21st century, though, from selecting the best local produce at the farmer's market to serving cutting-edge craft cocktails to maintaining a steadfast commitment to sustainable business practices. If only train passengers from the early 1900s had it so good!

Great food, great bar, great happy hour!

A bonus that this is the restaurant attached to Hotel Monaco. Really excellent happy hour choices, all were delicious. Their menu is quite extensive, and quite delicious. One night we shared a pizza and a few other apps, yummy.

I'll make this easy...best pancakes I've ever had. Eggs Benedict were seasoned with tarragon and were delicious, too! It was noisier than I would have liked, with a big group near us. This is somewhat to be expected, since it's attached to the Monaco, but be aware :) I would definitely return.

I had the steak at the B&O, and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had in that price range. The menu featured a variety of dishes, although you might want to bring a dictionary if you are not a

The restaurant is located in the Hotel Monaco which is located a few blocks from the Inner Harbor. The hotel was once the headquarters for the B&O Railroad. If you have some time before or after dinner, check out the lobby of the hotel. It's beautiful. Marble staircases lead up to the front desk where you will find some information... More

This place is a neighborhead gem. A very unusual but really tasty menu. I am really happy to have meals there for multiple nights in a row (which I do when I'm on business travel there). The wait staff is great.

In Baltimore on business, and hoped for good food after a very long day. The amazing Hostess, Maria, said I could order from the bar or dinner menu if I sat on the first floor, so I did. While it was somewhat noisier than I would have liked, as I ended up ordering the most amazing burger off of the... More

I was staying at this hotel... went to the bar one evening, and after 10 minutes of no service, I left. Two nights later gave it another try for an early dinner prior to a flight, & it was lovely & delicious.

Breakfast wait seated at the table for just eggs and coffee took 57 min. Apologetic manager could not even put it on the house after all. Every meal has enough salt in it that the taste is totally lost.

Supertough1, My apologies on the wait that you experienced while dining at B&O. That is totally unacceptable. I will speak to my chef regarding items being over salty. I think that is something we can easily correct. Please let me know if you are coming back to Baltimore, I would love to buy you breakfast. More

Tons of beers on tap and a lively dining room in the evening. The food is solid and the service a little less so. Their grilled cheese sandwiches are delicious. We also had breakfast in the restaurant and it was quite good.

...following a day of conferencing. Exactly the hip, cool atmosphere we needed! Fantastic oysters with trout roe had a coordinating cocktail --I was hooked. Adorable server recommended the catch of the day, which was delicious. Definitely recommend and hope to return!
