Attractive upscale-casual decor, friendly and helpful hostess and waitstaff. Attractively-plated and delicious salads, entrees and cocktails. A nice but comfortable option for dinner.

The service at B & O was excellent! Atmosphere was definitely of an upscale dinner club but also had a laid back vibe. Dress attire went from work casual to Sunday best. Dinner was scrumptious. I ate it all which is not a norm for me! Also Great wine selection. It's midtown in the city so prepare to walk or... More

A better than average hotel restaurant but it should not be on your shortlist of outstanding Baltimore restaurants. The staff was very professional, friendly, efficient and accommodating. The menu lacked creativity and diversity. The food was good but again, slightly above average for a good hotel restaurant. Although the bartender was excellent and mixed a great cocktail, the bar is... More

The split kitchen can be a good and bad thing here. I got a pizza, which are made downstairs at their awesome fired oven. Wife got strawberry pancakes. I got my pizza in 5-7 minutes. I went ahead and started. I was more than 1/2 done when the manager came by 3 minutes later to tell us that they lost... More

Damian C, My apologies again on the confusion and miscommunication during brunch. Once I noticed the order was not complete we did our best to get the pancakes out. I am glad that both of you enjoyed the food when it finally arrived. Please come back and see us, this is a very rare occasion and it seems like you... More

I liked everything about the B&O American Brasserie: the staff were super friendly, polite when serving, extremely aware of your needs, knowledgeable about the chef's specials. The price of the food was excellent, as was the quality and descriptions.

Great food, superior cocktails. We started with the Old Fashions, the moved on to raw oysters and broiled brussel sprouts. They were delicious. Then we had steaks and fries which were outstanding. Finished with a Grand Marnier on the rocks!

I had much higher expectations for this restaurant. The food was just ok and the kitchen was VERY slow. The bartender didn't know how to make two different drinks that I asked for. I really wanted to love it since we love the hotel so much.

Jody, Thank you for your feedback regarding your dining experience. I will research the kitchen issues as we pride ourselves on great service, both friendliness wise and speed. I would love to know what cocktails stumped our bartenders, as we have some of the best bartenders in the city. Please come back and try us again if you are back... More

What an amazing meal we had at the B&O! First off, the decor is fantastic; it's adjoining the Hotel Monaco and is also located within the historic B&O Railroad building (built in 1906). The food was incredible; from the sauteed brussels sprouts, to the Coq au Vin, to the chocolate black forest "Bete Noire," we were bowled over. Our server,... More

This restaurant was conveniently located inside the hotel we were staying, so we ate a casual dinner. The service was great - they accommodated a dietary restriction, and let us know that my pizza entree had burned and would take a little longer. Sadly, the food was just average - lacking in flavor and seasoning. Overall, it was better than... More

The Hotel Monaco is in the old headquarters of the B&O Railroad and it has carved up some of the spaces in this historic building very cool ways. In the case of the restaurant, it's a modern addition that is over the bar. This works well as you get the vibe of the bar without having to look at people... More
