Two Great Cakes

My initial review was about the delicious crab cake lunch special, After lunch my waitress asked if I'd like a slice of coconut cake-I said sure. She delivered a fresh, locally made coconut cake. When you are eating a Kopper's leave room for the treat.

Arriving way late (after 11:00 PM) after a long flight from NM, I hoped to find someplace in Fell's Point open with food and maybe even a crab cake. I found both at Kooper's Tavern, where the atmosphere was laid-back congenial, the service prompt and friendly and the crab cakes special and ale more than acceptable.

Koopers is a great local pub. Good food, good prices, lotsa beer! They have a killer crab cake. Service always very friendly, always have great specials. If you like burgers theirs are top notch. Ate here often when I lived in Baltimore. Owners are excellent citizens of Baltimore. Do a lot to give back to the community.

The Old Bay seasoned wings served here are the best in the business. I could eat them every other day and not grow sick of them. Seriously, the beer selection, the friendly service and the wings would keep me coming back if I was a local.

Wife and I stopped in Saturday night 4/25 for dinner. We were seated right away on the second floor which does have its own bar and a very attentive staff. I had the cream of crab soup, was very tasty with ample crab in the soup. 1/2 .lb of steamed old bay shrimp....tasty, shrimp cooked perfect, huge size shrimp and... More

Good food. Great staff and drinks. Reasonably priced. We liked the atmosphere. Much nicer than some of the more pretentious fare in town.

Stopped while flying solo for lunch. The place is comfortable and was fairly busy for a late lunch. The menu is standard pub fare and a little higher priced than avg. The draft beer choices are limited for a pub. I built my own burger with angus, jack, and cheddar. It was somewhat small but was cooked a perfect medium.... More

We stayed near the Inner Harbor and had several overpriced and disappointing meals. We went over to Fell's Point and tried Kooper's because my kids liked the dog log on the door. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and real character being over 100 years old. The service was great, and the food was above average. The menu was different... More

Many bars look alike and this falls into that category. Walking along the bar/tavern lined street where every door was a new one with outside seating, as well as inside, we decided on one that was named after a dog! We were seated at a very uncomfortable high-top table (stools need to be a little lower for us older folk).... More

Coffee the way it should be made.....French press, hot and strong...best coffee in Baltimore! Tavern decor, but clean and comfortable. Brioche french toast & omelets were served with fresh fruit. Bottomless mimosa was a plus! We had early brunch which was quiet, but after a walk about, when we returned the lunch crowd had appeared.
