Good place, but overpriced

Blue Hill Tavern is a large, multi floor restaurant with tons of outdoor space. They also have one of the best happy hours in town. However the place can sometimes feel empty because its so big. Also many of the drinks during HH are fairly weak, and on some occasions have been pre made.

Even something about sitting at the bar makes for a great time. The beers are delicious, only a tad over priced, for beer, but normal for a nice restaurant in Baltimore. If you like calamari, get the appetizer. The combination of the chili-lime sauce, peanuts, and mixed greens with the flash fried perfect temperatures calamari is just right. Come during... More

Amazing experience, went in with a group of 6 of us, staff was very cordial, and the bar area had a great area to wait for our table in, the decor is new age and very nice, the entire place feels new. We had a number of the appetizers and they were all delicious though the fried pickles were a... More

Not a good visit at all. Service was horrible. Bartender was slow and was more interested in talking to a group of girls half his age than keeping up on our drinks.. Was pretty amazed he was an actual manager and boasted about quiting there and going somewhere else. Food was undercooked. Will never go back.

Blue Hill Tavern continues to be what many other restaurants should be striving for when it comes to food, service, and atmosphere. From the second you walk in the door and are greeted by Jess, the hostess, to when you walk out the door, you will be treated with first class, professional and friendly service. The staff is happy to... More

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with our family at this very casual yet sophisticated neighborhood restaurant. Service was top notch, food excellent and well paced, and the wine menu varied and very reasonably priced. Excellent choices of appetizers and salads, the crab cakes were delicious, with no filling, and be sure to save room to at least sample the variety... More

I went there late on a Saturday night with some friends. I had the shrimp and grits. It was solid with a reasonable portion of hominy and nicely done shrimp and bacon. I've had better, but I liked it. My Cesar salad was unusual and was finely minced iceberg served in a molded cylinder. I'm more of a traditionalist in... More

I was there with a small group with a limited group menu. Between all of my friends, there was not one item on the menu that was not fantastic. My filet was just the right size and done to perfection Great variety, excellent service from drinks through dessert which was phenomenal. Did not help the holiday diet at all...but it... More

With 3'kids under the age of 6, and 4 adults, our wait staff was efficient and most attentive to us. Food and drinks were just as great, and they located us so other patrons would not be disturbed by our group. We definitely will go back again!
