What a treat to stumble upon Bridgewater Bistro with our ipad and ChowHound recommendations. It was as good as it was supposed to be, but we were not aware of its gluten-free friendliness and awareness. The wife of the owner makes fabulous gluten-free bread. Those of us who are served 'gluten-free" bread never know what it is to be, and... More

We have dined at the Bistro on several occasions and have found it one of the more enjoyable places to dine on the North Oregon coast. Owners, Tony and Ann, are on-site more often than not and are the backbone to a staff that treats diners with friendliness and excellent service without hovering. I had the best blackened sturgeon I've... More

Very kid friendly and casual. Good value for the quality. Over cooked the prime rib but replaced it very quickly. Great atmosphere and view.

This restaurant, in a renovated cannery building on the Columbia River waterfront, features great views of the River and the Astoria-Megler bridge. The main shipping channel is only a couple hundred yards from the Oregon shore here, giving diners up-close views of large ships entering/leaving port. The dining area is in a single large room - fully two stories high... More

Lovely open, airy restaurant right on the Columbia River. A wonderful selection of "small plates" allows you to enjoy a variety of the amazing tastes the chef creates. Service is warm but never intrusive and the owner visits your table to make sure you are enjoying the total experience. I sincerely wish I lived closer.

As with almost every family celebration, we head over to Astoria, OR and the Bridgewater Bistro. This time it was for our 15th Wedding Anniversary. And as times before, the experience was fabulous! From the moment we entered the restaurant, with swift hostess attention, we were pampered with attentiveness throughout the evening from the wait staff and the servers; they... More

I'm so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your dining experience with us, and wish that we'd known while you were here so that we could have attempted to change it! As stated on our menus, we (like many other restaurants) do automatically charge an 18% gratuity on parties of 6 or more. We also do charge a... More

My husband and I got off our cruise ship in Astoria, Oregon. We toured around for a few hours then got off of the town's trolley near the Bridgewater Bistro which is not far from the port. We were seated at the nice table looking out over the bay and bridge. The waitress and the owner were very attentive and... More
