Visit whenever I'm in town for great food, service and of course very good lemon drops. Had a great experience watching the bartender make our drinks while having friendly conversations.

Cold, grey and windy in Astoria (surprised?) and we needed a perfect place for coffee and late lunch. We found the Astoria Bistro, and it was just what we needed! Table by the window, delightful service and menu suggestions from Chelsea, and an amazing special: grilled salmon on focaccia, with olive tapenade, aioli, pepper bacon, and Swiss, warm and served... Plaster coming off the ceiling and slow service, although with acceptable food--not the best place to find breakfast or lunch in Astoria. It used to be better, but seems to have slipped.

I always wonder why people give rave reviews about a place but only fill in 4 stars? This little coffee house delivers and deserves all 5. The coffee is great and the food was yum! The staff was very good and worked like crazy to make sure that everyone was satisfied with their food. a little tip, if the booths... More

We had an amazing breakfast here. Everything was fresh and delicious. Even the Western Omlette, a pretty typical item, was excellent with big chunks of ham and was cooked perfectly. The chicken fried steak and eggs had great bacon gravy and the cappuccinos were perfectly brewed. Prices were a little high for Astoria, but reasonable considering the quality of the... More

We had planned to leave early, but went to the Maritime Museum (which is good), and needed lunch. We shared a main course, salad with hummus, and it was very good with fresh, flavourful ingredients. Then we shared a brownie, recommended by the waitress. She has good taste in brownies. Then there was the coffee: it was very good, not... More

I love this place! Excellent food offerings that are not your ordinary eggs and hash-browns fair. Try the French Toast for an unusual taste sensation. Bloody Mary’s were a bit thick, but tasty.

This is a trendy kind of coffee establishment on the sunny side of the street in downtown Astoria. The garage door opens and sidewalk seating is available. Coffee and food are average and not worthy of commanding the prices that they do. Return? Probably not. Recommend? Please see above.
