If you want a good meal in Astoria and are tired of the brew pubs with so-so food, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. It is very popular, for obvious reasons, so either be prepared to wait or try a not as popular time of day. We arrived at about 2 pm and were able to get... More

Excellent, kind and attentive service, an abundant menu selection. Excellent chefs, and the ambiance is amazing! I have eaten here several times, and its my top recommended place to dine. Outside tables are my favorite on a warm sunny day, with the best espresso on the NW Pacific Coast (not exaggerating one bit!). My personal favorite is Prime Rib on... More

My husband and I had lunch and then came back for coffee later in the evening and also came back for breakfast the next day. The place has a very portland feel to it. The food is great! For lunch we had the fish tacos and "mexican philly cheese steak" I had coffee with my meal and the coffee was... More

We love this coffee shop/restaurant. We came here when we first started visiting Astoria 5 years ago and now visit at least once a trip. Today we ate breakfast outside. Great coffee and egg plates. Always a good size and the really fresh food biscuits with the meals are flaky and yum. We like to kick back, eat the good... More

We scored a table with no wait mid-morning on a Sunday. There was a street fair nearby, so lots of people were in town. Large, well-cooked meal with an old-time appeal. This was my second time there, but a first for my spouse. She was impressed. The old building had a nice look to it and offered sidewalk dining too.

As all early risers know, a good breakfast can set up your day. I have dined here right when they open (7 am) a half dozen times now, a different breakfast choice each time, and all have been prepared to perfection. Oyster hash, Eggs Benedict and delicious biscuits and gravy top the list. There is a lady chef in the... More

Rainy, midday, midweek - looking for a good bowl of chowder. It looked good - hearty serving, reasonably thick - but whoever was cooking this day should have been tasting, because the flavors were just...off. We could't figure it out - maybe too much vinegar or not the right spices - the chowder was just sour, couldn't finish it. My... More

We took respite from the stiff breezes off the Columbia River and steadily falling mist and happened upon this charming, cozy and eclectic coffeehouse/bistro last week for lunch. Since we couldn't try one of everything (but wanted to!), we opted for a cup of the clam chowder (heavenly - want this recipe!) which was served with golden chunks of toasted... More

We were pleased to find Astoria bistro while driving through town at dinner time. Outside seating super cozy. Fish tacos were delicious and my hubby enjoyed pad Thai - paired with good local drinks, of course. Cocktail list & chocolate cake looked fabulous, next time!

I had coffee here and loved it. A couple hours later I had coffee at Starbucks and. I realized just how bad Starbucks is compared to this place.
