Stopped in for coffee on a road trip as the building is striking and piqued our interest from the street. Coffee was very good and we picked up a couple of loaves of bread which was an excellent, no regret move. The menu is extensive and I wish we had time to stay for a leisurely coffee or meal.

I had the French toast for breakfast, very good. They have lots of tasty treats. I got some oatcakes to go, also very good. The view of the river is great, considering how far back from the water it is.

Wife enjoyed good coffee while we waited for Fort George to open. Open, spacious, lots of upscale magazines, and free wi-fi. Would definitely come back.

Love their cardamom knots! They have a cardamom latte that sounded excellent. Great coffee here and all the bakery treats we've tried have been delicious!

I looked up gluten free bakery in Astoria and found Blue Scorcher gluten free friday - I bought a cookie and it was wonderful - very tasty! Also had a cardamom honey coffee which was delicious and made to my request ʻvery light on the honey please!ʻ Service was wonderful, staff was welcoming and friendly. In fact, it was late... More

It took me a long time to find someone in the area who sells a fresh selection of good crusty bread. Then I found the Blue Scorcher. They offer a variety of delicious bread and yummy baked goods as well. Their prices are a little high...but if you like quality...it's worth the price. It also has a great atmosphere and... More

Stopped in here for a sweet treat after having lunch next door. There's a nice sized dining area and they did a nice job of arranging all they have to offer for easy viewing. They have some really unique sweets, like cookies with sesame seeds and cookies with yams, that are very tasty. They also have cinnamon rolls, chocolates, breads... More

but worth it. It's a bakery too, so their bread was excellent. My portobello sandwich came with goat cheese, caramelized onions, provolone and greens - very enjoyable, served hot off the grill. My wife's pea soup was a little insipid, but then we both prefer French Canadian style. In a vegetarian restaurant, the soup is not ham based! Grilled cheese... More

Excellent vegetarian food, delicious. Price on the high side for a bakery, but given the high quality of food absolutely worth it. Very childfriendly place with a playcorner.

This is the place in Astoria! High quality food and cool and friendly staff. The croissants are delicious like in France. We loved it.
