An unusual but enjoyable venue just back from the main street.

We spotted this cafe from the main street as we were searching for somewhere to eat breakfast. It looked interesting and appealing from the outside so we headed up to it. The inside has a modern/bohemian/industrial feel with very high ceilings. The walls have art for sale, there are fantastic locally made lights displayed, also for sale. The menu had... More

The hummus plate is sublime. I was a bit skeptical, but was so very pleasantly suprised and thoroughly sad when it was all gone. I wanted to lick the plate clean...oh wait...I think I did! Good bread, great hummus, delicious! Expensive? Yes...but it certainly was good.

This is a friendly cafe that serves delicious organic food. The coffee is also good. The atmosphere is very relaxed and nice and there is a selection of great magazines available for purchase. A very nice cafe to relax and enjoy a meal either alone or with company.

We had breakfast here and it was some of the best food we had on our week long trip around Oregon. We both had different types of scrambles and coffee/tea. The ingredients are all fresh and local and the food was innovative, yet not too complicated. The homemade bread and jam were amazing. Wish I could eat here everyday!!

Like a lot of places, these folks apparently don't know the proper temperature for brewing tea. I ordered an English Breakfast tea that totally missed the mark simply because the water wasn't hot enough. It's a shame to use apparently high-quality tea leaves and then botch it with incorrect water temperature. This is an easy fix.

Good coffee shop and bakery, good wifi too, next door to Ft. George Brewery and Pub. Best for breakfast and light lunch.

A little artsy and pricey compared with similar visits in Oregon however coffee was good, as was the cinnamon bun.

We were out walking on a day that was unusually hot for Astoria. We stepped inside the Blue Scorcher for some relief, and we found it. The iced tea was perfect and, had we stayed in town longer, we would have returned to try the coffee. I had a muffin and my husband had a cinnamon roll, and both were... More
