but worth it. It's a bakery too, so their bread was excellent. My portobello sandwich came with goat cheese, caramelized onions, provolone and greens - very enjoyable, served hot off the grill. My wife's pea soup was a little insipid, but then we both prefer French Canadian style. In a vegetarian restaurant, the soup is not ham based! Grilled cheese... More

Excellent vegetarian food, delicious. Price on the high side for a bakery, but given the high quality of food absolutely worth it. Very childfriendly place with a playcorner.

This is the place in Astoria! High quality food and cool and friendly staff. The croissants are delicious like in France. We loved it.

Why is it a secret that this is a vegetarian restaurant? Good food but be advised... it is vegetarian restaurant! We like vegetarian but not exclusively and it would have been nice to know before we traveled across town in traffic to get there.

We make it a point to have breakfast at the Blue Scorcher at least once during any trip to Astoria. They have fruit scones as big as your hand and the best steel cut oatmeal. The juice is bottled which is too bad, but otherwise, a really good place to eat.

My wife and I loved this small cafe! It has a friendly, eclectic atmosphere and an interesting menu with healthy ingredients. I had a black bean breakfast burrito, my wife had a quiche and we shared a berry scone. All were delicious. Busy place but the turnover kept a line from forming for seating.

I stopped in for breakfast based upon a recommendation from a barkeep at a local dinner restaurant and I was more than pleasantly surprised by their traditional and upscale offerings. I had the Breakfast Tartine (Two slices of Tartine bread perfectly toasted with goat cheese, baby leeks and blistered tomatoes) and left with more goodies for later....fresh raspberry and cream... Not sure if I was more impressed with the designs in our hot drinks or the taste of the regular bakery goods. They do offer gluten free but the cookie was a bit on the undercooked side even though our daughter enjoyed having something she could eat along with us. Coffee was flavorful and the design on top was very... More

The Blue Scorcher gave me just what I was looking for when I go to Oregon - excellent vegetarian food. I ran in for a sandwich and had a great experience. I ordered the TLT - tempeh, lettuce, and tomato. The bread was delicious and the sandwich was mouth watering. I ended up leaving with granola and a ginger chocolate... More
