I would be here all the time if I lived in Astoria

The Blue Scorcher was a block from the hotel. Initially I walked in just to check it out. Everything looked delicious and I returned the next day for breakfast. My quiche was delicious. We go to Blue Scorcher for breakfast every time we come to Astoria. I have to recommend their Blueberry French Toast and Vegetable Fritatta! For the french toast they use wonderful crusty artisan bread that holds up to the amazing blueberries and sauce. And the vegetable fritatta with potatoes and green goddess sauce is amazing, great flavor and very hearty... More

We stopped in on our way out of town to grab a quick breakfast. Lots of selection. My almond roll was a little too sweet, but tasty overall. Can't say anything about the coffee or cafe food because we didn't have it. Good on-the-run breakfast, but we paid more than I'd like to for a couple pastries.

Traveling through Astoria and so pleased to find a true vegetarian restaurant. This is a coop so the workers are all owners and they treat the restaurant as such. They have excellent attention to detail. I had the P.G.A. which is a portabella, goat cheese and arugula sandwich. The spouse had the taco special and a coffee. The food was... More

I had a danish, which was really good, and my daughter had eggs, which was also good. The coffee was good. They use organic ingredients and is pleasant to dine in also. Prices were reasonable for Oregon coast.

They occasionally have a poached eggs special that I'm particularly fond of. Great atmosphere for hanging around people watching, working away on a laptop or just to relax. A little corner with some toys to keep the kiddos occupied, too.

Very relaxed, cozy, local spot, where you want to order every dish and one of every single pastry - oh, not to forget their gorgeous homemade breads - you also want to take a loaf home of every variety! Coffee and lattes we had were excellent. Beautiful, healthy egg dishes. We are still raving over the frosted almond bear claw... More

I had lunch at this small restaurant on the edge of downtown Astoria last winter. Impressed, I returned for breakfast on my second trip to Astoria. Both experiences were positive, with good food, pleasant staff, available wi-fi.

Despite a free offering of breakfast at our hotel, we decided to try the much-touted Blue Scorcher Saturday morning during our Memorial day weekend getaway. Atmosphere is great. Quiet. Relaxing. Service is odd. We were first time customers and our cashier/waiter did absolutely nothing to make our experience better. We didn't even see the menu until AFTER we ordered -... More

I had an interesting full breakfast, great coffee, and tried one of their cardamom rolls also. The roll was heavenly. Lost of seating and a great magazine sales area.
