Great spot!

I come to Astoria often for work, but this was my first time to this bakery while traveling on vacation with my wife. We both had the cardemon-almond rolls, and a really nice egg dish. The service was very good, coffee was hot, and the food was great. What more could you ask for?

Wonderful pizza. Caramelized onions and delicious crust. This is the way pizza should be. Skip the pepperoni that most pizza makers put on. This was great

I visited Blue Scorcher yesterday for lunch. Their bread was pretty fantastic - made in-house. The environment was good (nothing fancy - much more hippie/down to earth style), the food was good (however, a tad bit overpriced for the serving size), and the people working there were all friendly. This seems to be a pretty popular place with the locals,... More

We tried this place as a result of a review on the "Splended Table" radio show. We were very disappointed in the food, price and service. Portions were spartan and not well prepared. The place looks like it is run by the homeless. We will not return

This bakery has so much cool character and wonderful workers. Everything seems to made from scratch with flavors and combinations that I hadn't previously tried. It was very enviromentally friendly which I appreciated and the oatmeal is delicious! We were even offered another round of fresh toast and butter....and being the bread lover that I am that just sealed my... More

One of the few places open in Astoria Easter Morning. It was rater crowded but they handled it well. All the ingredients are locally sourced and prepared well but I will warn you its a bit expensive. Over $30 dollars for what we had I felt was a bit much. It was good quality but not a lot of quantity... More

With the help of TA, we stumbled across the Blue Scorcher as we breezed through town yesterday. We were absolutely delighted. The food was delicious. You have to try the Cubes of Deliciousness! Yummy AND gluten free!! What more can you ask for. The service was friendly, albeit a tad slow. That just allowed us to soak in more of... More

Creative daily specials, delicious soups, all-around good food. Love the soup/sandwich meal with the P3 sandwich.

We were very disappointed in our breakfast. The frittata was bland except for salt, under cooked, and a really small piece - esp considering it was 15 bucks. The french toast was 7.75 for 1 small piece... and it was raw on one side! Could have got sick.

We stopped at Blue Scorcher for a snack. My husband's chocolate applesauce cake was delicious, as was my chocolate ginger cookie! Our cappucinos were good. The coffee beans were roasted almost to "burnt," but they did stop just short of tasting really burnt. We love strong coffee, so this was okay with us. But it would've earned an "excellent" from...
