Never had Bosnian food before? Well, if you chose to dine at Drina Daisy you're in for a treat my friend. For at Drina you'll get not only a superb meal but a well-rounded introduction to this too little appreciated cuisine as well. The owner and chef is a true master of her craft. Hubs and I were here on a day trip from Portland. We drove north into Washington, went through Longview, and headed back south via highway 30---enjoying the Lewis and Clark Trail. We approached Astoria via a beautiful winding route. After looking at a few options, we decided to try Trip Advisor's #2 choice for lunch: Drina Daisy Bosnian Restaurant. We... More

I have always wanted to try Bosnian cuisine ever since I met this nice Bosnian girl in Eagle, Idaho that use to manage the Starbucks. I had read an article in Oregon Coast magazine if I remember correctly about this wonderful Bosnian restaurant in Astoria that they gave a very positive review for. That was about 8 or 10 years... After seeing the good rating from Trip Advisor, we came to this restaurant for lunch. We were certainly not disappointed. We had the Burek (beef wrapped with pastry sheet) and the Bisanski Gulas (a beef stew), both were delicious. The vegetables and fruits that came with our meal were also nice and fresh. This place is a good choice for... More

loved this place. To begin with, my dad is from Slovenia....and my whole life I grew up with foods cooked by my mom, who learned from dad's mom...plum dumplings, yummy meats....food loaded with FLAVOR. I have missed those. In lil' ol' Astoria....is a restaurant with not only the foods, but the wine of my home, the coffee of my home,... More

All the reviews are correct. A unique experience and delicious. We had the lamb dinner for two served on a large platter -- juicy lamb, vegetables, fruit and stuffed cabbage. The décor and ambiance perfect. Had a bottle of Blantina wine from Bosnia & Herzegovina which reasonably priced and pretty good.

This is the first Bosnian restaurant we have encountered, and made a very positive impression. The ambiance was pleasant and the food was exceptional. Everything is prepared in-house by the proprietor/chef, who makes each dish a labor of love. Some of the items are truly unique to American palates, but well worth the experience.

We planned to eat here after reading about the restaurant in a guide book. Our son's friend also recommended it. The menu is limited. I chose the beef stew and my husband had a cabbage dish. Both tasted very good; the stew meat was tender and nicely spiced. The fruit and the small salads were fresh and perfect (great produce... More

By the experience we had here, Bosnian hospitality must be amazing. We ordered the roasted lamb for one and meat/cheese appetizer platters to share and the amount of food was staggering; we couldn't believe the lamb as for ONE! All in all, a great experience if you're a carnivore like us.

All but the lamb is prepared when ordered, so take some time and wait for great tasting food and a new experience. First time we went there were not sure what to expect. My husband liked the lamb I love the goulash think on the menu it is called something else but it the meat melts in your mouth.
