Tired of the same old food choices? Branch out at places like this Bosnian eatery. The foods I would call a great merging of Mediterranean, Slavic and Italian. The fire roasted lamb is fantastic and the appetizers are also great. Pickled and smoked everything goodness. They also serve an excellent Croatian wine. Big bold red that compliments the meats.

We found the "pies" to be warm, filling and all of the comfort that menu promised. The red pepper spread could have been a cold soup as it was delicious without the bread. The fascinating little coffee service was unlike anything we've ever seen.

On a chilly Saturday evening three of us visiting Astoria were having a difficult time deciding where to eat dinner. One of our party of three suggested this Bosnian restaurant as we walked past it on a downtown street. At first I was skeptical, through unfamiliarity with Bosnian cuisine. However, once we decided to dine there, all three of us... More

One who craves authentic European food made from scratch this is the place. Cabbage rolls, fresh lamb on the spit, Among the many offerings but not limited to just our favorites. Each of the servings are always served artistically with fruit and vegetables. Prepared all with loving hands. Incredible. The work is very hard and one knows now is the... More

Found this gem on a road trip, and was pleasantly surprised! The price is very reasonable, and the service is personal. The gentleman who served us was happy to speak briefly on the history of some of the foods that I never knew!

Saying this place is pricey is unfair. If you can't afford it, don't come. I can tell everything is handmade and fresh. They provided fresh fruit (strawberries, kiwi, watermelon, honey dew) even in December. Sarma was $18 and very tasty. The gulas was beef and tasted great, but it's very similar to my Asian style cooking so I didn't fully... More

The cabbage rolls were moist and flavorful. The owner works very hard to serve his customers but the service is slow. Meals were served with a side of fruit and salad on the side. Feels pricey for what you get.

I'm so happy to have found this restaurant while doing an online search for places to have lunch in Astoria. My companion and I shared an appetizer of cold sausage and bread/accompaniments, and had the lamb as well as cabbage rolls. The food reminded me so much of dishes my grandmother used to make but with a Balkan twist. This... More

This was a great dinner. Astoria is lucky to have such an authentic ethnic restaurant. Yes, the host/server/owner is not overly friendly, but he seated us, took our orders, and brought our food. He explained some of the beer choices and was nice enough. The food was really excellent! We had goulash and stuffed cabbages and both where authentic, full... More

We wanted to dine at Drina Daisy as we had never eaten at a Bosnian restaurant before. My husband order the lamb, and I had the stuffed cabbage rolls. We split a salad, which really wasn't necessary, since one came on the plate with our entrees. Other people on this site have written about the "chunks" of lamb, and how... More
