4 of us went to Clemente's for my 40th bday dinner. There was a lot of pressure riding on this experience to be perfect. Yelp reviews aren't very glowing, but I've heard from numerous people that Clemente's is the best seafood in Astoria. We were blown away- 2 of us had the halibut and 2 had the filet mignon. The... Our first visit to Clemente's in Astoria but it will not be our last! Gourmet food at a very reasonable price. Server Meredith was very knowledgeable in explaining the menu and very helpful with both menu and off -the -menu suggestions. Chef Gordon came to our table and visited with us tailoring the menu items to our desires. He informed... More

Stopped here for lunch. Seems to be the nicest place in Astoria. Service was a little slow, but polite and helpful. Food was really good. Oysters were raw, but served on pre-bleached and washed shells. For a location like Astoria, I would expect better than that as we passed a dozen oyster farms on the drive there.

Very good lunch in a nearly empty room on a sunny afternoon. Really good hamburger, terrific French fries, and a visually appealing and delicious crab louie. The menu looks inviting and the space is modern and well- done but not fussy - a comfortable place.

Both times I've eaten at Clemente's, it's been special. They have gluten free fish and chips with several fish choices (cod, halibut, salmon) and achoice of regular fries or sweet potato fries. My friend had choppino that was perfectly prepared and they have nice wine choices. The staff could not be anymore helpful and attentive. We will return here overe... More

We save this for special occasions. Its a bit pricey for our budget. We appreciate the locally sourced food, much of it organic.

We had very attentive, professional service. I had an excellent clam chowder and a crisp, tasty Caesar salad - not so terribly overdressed as most restaurants do it these days. My friend had a fresh salmon sandwich with caramelized leeks that was very good. We thought the room was lovely; spacious, bright, colorful.

Seems like everything is overdone here, maybe trying too hard to be chic and upscale, but the food is decidedly mediocre, a little pretentious with the entree menu, and the service we found to be a bit dismissive. Tolerable, perhaps, but the prices demand more of the staff, front and back of house. This place may catch the tourists, but... More

I couldn't tell, honestly. And, it was precooked with a hard lump of something on top (maybe the advertised pester?). It had NO taste whatsoever. It was the chefs 3 course special which I advise you not to order. The dessert was a lemon sorbet which was a bit cheesy. No vegetables to speak of on the dinner plate. Too... More

Astoria the nine months that isn't summer is NOT the Astoria during tourist season. It is slow, quiet, and the population can fall as low as half during the summer. So if a restaurant survives, and even thrives, in the off-season? That's because of local, return business. A restaurant of Clemente's size (and thus rent, expenses) is great, because if... More
