A nice place to dine downtown Astoria, a table by the window to watch the world go by. Well constructed cocktails hail from the cute bar area in the back. The big food fact is everything is fresh from the sea or garden. They only serve local, fresh seafood so it's catch of the day. And all... read more

During the last three years we have dined multiple times both for lunch and dinner. The food was good and drinks interesting and nicely done. The attitude, particularly with one server, caused us to cross off the list and not recommend to anyone. Discrimination upon physical appearance quite obvious more than once. We are both fans of fine dining and... More

We had a few people give us recommendations and we decided to try Clemente's. First of all the waiter looked like he was run off his feet with only 2 tables. It was cold in there and we found the atmosphere cold. The night before we walked by to check out where it was and saw only 1 couple there.... More

We went in the back room for music, dinners, and drinks. Everything was excellent--the ambiance, the room, and so on. The dining room was rather empty, and we did not go there.

Made the mistake going on the review of Clemente's in Frommer's, should have checked Tripadvisor ratings instead. Overall, my party and I thought our dinner at Clemente's was average. Nothing memorable. We were a walk up for dinner and had no trouble being seated immediately as the restaurant was over half empty. Server came across somewhat stiff but was efficient.... More

Loved the open "airiness" of the restaurant and the absolutely delightful young lady the waited on us. I was a bit disappointed in my meal as it had a heavy overtone of jalapeno and pico de mayo. However, that is just my taste buds probably over reacting. My friend enjoyed his meal and we both agreed a return trip was... More

Oregon in general and Astoria in particular is replete with House made Brewery and Comfort food places-perhaps the finest anywhere. But after sampling the sublime offerings from the foaming taps of Astoria, we were ready for something just a bit more "Old World". Clemente's is a perennially recommended favorite-an upscale 'date night" type of restaurant. We liked the the corner... More

We went here based on information in a guide book. My husband had fish and chip with salmon. He said it was good. I can't imagine batter on salmon. I had a shrimp melt with the small shrimp. It was just okay. The service was good and attentive as well.

Had dinner in a regrettably empty restaurant. The preparation was very good, as was the evening's selections. Service started out being a bit stiff but loosened up in short order. Pleasant wine list focussing on Oregon (why not?). I'd go back and recommend this to others. Now if only the kitchen staff remembered that, in an empty restaurant with no... More

Great seafood and wonderful service. The BEST oysters I have ever eaten! Harvested from right across the river. You can't go wrong here!
