Great Lunch Stop

On a motorcycle trip from WA down the OR coast. Stopped for lunch. Ship Inn classic 50's style nautical decor. It's right on the Columbia River and a window seat had us gazing at all the large ships and tugboats steaming by. Senior Special was fish and chips for $5.99. Great deal and the cod was... read more

Had the most relaxing lunch here, the fried prawns are ah-mazing! The cocktails were surprisingly good too - I can't even remember the name of the one I had many of ... it was a unique name and a unique cocktail. Very old school building, and the bathrooms are a little tight, but the service was attentive and the view... More

This was our third visit in two years to the Ship Inn which offers a fantastic view of the Colombia River. Unfortunately, each time I have become more disappointed with the food, small portions of average quality for too high prices. Also the restaurant is run down and should be renovated. Overall, the service was good (but we were there... More

Great location on the river. The shepard's pie was fantastic. The cod was a little overcooked but that shouldn't be an indication of the usual quality. Would eat here again for sure.

I had cod fish and chips that was excellent. My daughter had tuna melt and my wife the shrimp salad. All were very good and a great view also.

Great water and trolley views! Had a cup of chowder and fish and chips. Both were good! Senior price $5.25 for 2 pc. Chowder was thick but needs more clams!

We still remark about how perfectly the fish was cooked. Just "ordinary" fish and chips but extraordinary texture and lightness. I had a sampler and everything was delicious. The fries were so-so. We had been here years ago and thought the prices were more upscale, but this was reasonable and offered smaller portion size as well as more expensive full... More

Sorry, but when I ordered a rather pricey fish dish I got some soggy side veggies and the fish! No rolls or bread of any kind? For the price they should serve more sides and some bread. Waitress was nice.

Delightful place to eat and great food! We went there for the first time for lunch, and had a great meal. I ordered the two piece fish and chips meal off of the senior menu (over 60 years old). It was in a crisp batter. The fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside the way I... More

I had the halibut fish and chips and it was tasty. The chips in particular were good. I was there just before it closed so the service and ambience was a tad brisk but overall it was a pleasant dinner.
