Better late than never, right? My wife Bev and I visited this restaurant last September. We were RVing at Cannon Beach, and decided to go to Astoria for lunch. We found the restaurant quite by accident. We are in a kitchen store, and asked the proprietor where a good place was for lunch. She said right behind her shop. Her... More

We visited this restaurant on the suggestion of hotel staff. Great location across the tram tracks and at the water's edge. This establishment has some interesting twists on traditional dishes - for us some worked and others did not. A plus was fish, really well cooked, but disappointingly served with Yukon Gold french fries that looked like they had come... More

Had dinner here last night. Popped open a bottle of 2006 Cakebread wine to go with our steaks, which were prepared perfect! But the star of the food show was the crab Mac & cheese. Could have just had that and died. Gooey goodness, noodles not mushy perfect balance of flavor. It was spot on. Out server Ryan was helpful... More

We had lunch here on a weekday. The restaurant is right on the river and the views are incredible. There is a real emphasis in the menu for locally-sourced food and everything, including the seafood, was very fresh. It's not cheap but not overly expensive for the quality of the food and the experience. The wait staff was attentive and... More

I have been to Baked AK on two occasions now - and both times the food was amazing, and the service prompt and attentive. I had the spaghettini with truffle oil and it was absolutely delicious. We brought in our extended family - 9 people in all - and were seated in the corner overlooking the water, and everyone had... More

Right next door to the Baked Alaska Restaurant is the Baked Alaska Pizzeria. If you are looking for something other than the run-of-the-mill pizza....this is the place to go. The crust is hand-tossed and they used the finest ingredients including fresh mozzarella and yummy roasted garlic. We ate the Chicken Garlic and also the Ham and arugula and found them... More

My husband and I are new to the Oregon Coast and to celebrate our respective birthdays we decided to try Baked Alaska since we have heard nothing but good about it. My husband made a reservation for 7 and we arrived on time. We waited and waited and waited and waited to be seated. The restaurant had very few tables... More

Had the seared duck with wild rice polenta and root vegetables. Just wonderful! Had a salad with hazelnuts, spring leaf mix, pears and a generous bits of bleu cheese. The best. Great wine and cocktail selection. Had a table looking over the river and viewed the passing boats and ships. Very nice. Only noticed one waitress covering the dining area.... More

I had the clams with apples and bacon and the prawn spaghettini while watching sea lions play in the water between rain squalls. The food was amazing, the spaghettini in particular. Steamed clams and spagetti would not be my usual choices, but these sounded interesting and I was not disappointed. Great beer selection, to boot. I highly recommend it.
