The atmosphere of the resturant would have been a little better if there were other people - we visited Astoria on the 2nd of Nov. off season and it was pretty deserted. This, however only put a mild damper on our experience because the ambiance was very romantic. Our candle lit date was perfect. My boyfriend is a vegetarian and... more

My wife and I were on a road trip down the west cost recently and visited Astoria, after reading about this little restaurant on trip advisor we decided to give it a shot as it had such a fantastic location on the river and was a short walk from the maritime museum. Lovely staff, who couldn't do enough for us,... more

I ate here years ago and it was quite good. Then I took some relatives and half the people didn't like their food- embarrassing. Then my hubby took his mom and they liked it so my family went back and had a negative experience again. This last week we were in Astoria and the location of Baked Alaska is ideal... more

A little disappointing, pretty average for the price you pay. Clean, tidy, very friendly service and an owner who cares enough to visit with every customer. Maybe the seafood is better, we didn't have it. Home made bread was outstanding. more

We arrived at 12:30 for Sunday lunch. We were seated prompty. But, not near a window. Our first server came right over to take our order. But, we asked to move to one of the empty tables near the window. No problem, but the hand off between the servers did not work out at all. I know we brought it... more

We ate at Baked Alaska last night, and wanted to have the price fixed, three course meal. The waitress told us that the regular salmon was frozen, and if we wanted fresh local salmon, we could have the special for $30. We ordered it, along with salads and the Half-Baked Alaska. The salads were excellent, and the salmon was good,... more

My husband and I discovered Baked Alaska in the summer of 08 while on our anniversary trip to Long Beach, WA. We were looking for something special and just couldn't find the right place in LB, so we drove to Astoria hoping to find somehting great. And did we ever! I had crab and mushrooms with fresh egg fettuccini in... more

The website clearly encourages reservations and visiting them for special occasions. So, I made a reservation for my parents to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday. The hostess that I spoke to was great, she ensured a really great table and allotted for a two hour window so they wouldn’t feel rushed. Perfect! My parents showed up only to be told... more
