Great baked goods!

Great Baked Goods! We usually stop here on our way to our beach house on the Long Beach Peninsula. I always check out the day-old, half-price offerings and can usually find something worth trying. Good variety, good quality, good service. Recommended!

This is a great bakery. I was a little put off by the Jesus signs in the window (we had a tanning parlor that did that in Ashland and the owner got arrested because he had a peephole in the tanning salon rooms and was looking at teenaged girls - so I think the Jesus signs are sometimes props to... We always pass this place on Sundays or evenings on our way to or from Long Beach, so always intrigued but closed, but finally last week, we were in Astoria midday and remembered to stop in. We were SO glad we did. This place is like a throwback to the Swedish bakeries I remember as a child. They have extensive... More

DO NOT pass up an opportunity to visit Home Bakery while in Astoria. From old fashioned buttermilk bars to cookies, cakes, pies and their world famous Cinnamon Toast, Home Bakery does it well And affordably. This is inevitably my first stop every time I visit Astoria, which fortunately for me is several times a year. I can't tell you how... More

This bakery makes the best cream horns ever. Delicate pastry filled with whipped cream, topped with sugar, YUM! They have tons of things to love. Doughnuts, cookies, breads, cakes, napoleons, turnovers, the list goes on and on. Closed Sundays, but don't miss it if you are going down Hwy 30!

Without a doubt, the maple bars are the very best in town. I get in there every chance I have and order just the maple bars. They have a lot of other pastry items, but the maple bars are to die for.

This is a third generation operating a time demanding hard work and product intensive for barely a living wage. High quality ingredients and much less expensive than other establishments with comparable offerings. The review by folks passing bad money from their air stream trailer should drive right by and their nickel will not be missed by these hard working folks.... More

I am glad we didn't go here until the end of our visit. It would have been responsible for 5 extra pounds. Excellent pastries and breads, pies, etc....The marionberry pie was excellent.

This is a historic landmark in Astoria, Oregon. Authentic Scandinavian baked goods. The selection is extensive. You have to stop by for a pastery, cup of coffee and some good local conversation. Closed Sunday and Monday.

I've been to Astoria at least 7 times. Six of those trips in recent years. We absolutely love Astoria. We always stopped at the Home Bakery. Wouldn't miss it and went out of our way to get the cinnamon toast. My daughters loved it and we brought a big box full of cinnamon toast back to Canada every year. Two... More
