This is a historic landmark in Astoria, Oregon. Authentic Scandinavian baked goods. The selection is extensive. You have to stop by for a pastery, cup of coffee and some good local conversation. Closed Sunday and Monday.

I've been to Astoria at least 7 times. Six of those trips in recent years. We absolutely love Astoria. We always stopped at the Home Bakery. Wouldn't miss it and went out of our way to get the cinnamon toast. My daughters loved it and we brought a big box full of cinnamon toast back to Canada every year. Two... More

Can you say yummmmmm! There is so much to choose from and made fresh daily. A great hangout if you want a peaceful, laid-back place. The maple bars melt in your mouth. It's been in business forever...don't miss it!

Skip your continental breakfast and stop in and support this great local business. Everything we had was fresh and tasty.

Maybe we hit them on a bad day? We enjoyed the old photos and the "pro-America" atmosphere. But the bakery shelves were almost empty. I think we were there in the late afternoon, and it was Saturday if I recall correctly. Perhaps other days of the week they have more in the store. We bought a few items and they... More

My husband and I tried three different baked goods. All three exceeded expectations. The bran raisin muffin had a pleasing texture and moisture level. The two donuts, made you want to eat more of them (even when you know you shouldn't).

This is something you might find here in Europe, no nonsense good product, value and customer service with prices from the good old days. Treat yourself to mariannes choclate pastries cream puffs (made with real whipping cream-- not white walling that industrial low cost plastic nonfood product.) Real food used here. Many breads and cookies too good too pass up.

Oh my deliciousness! I walked in and immediately knew I was in trouble. Everything looked amazing! I ordered an eclair, a couple cherry fritters and a smiley sugar cookie. All were fantastic! I see many more visits in my future.

We got there mid-Saturday morning but there was still many 'treats' available. We stocked up on loafs of Apple-ring and Orange rye. Both were very tasteful! Good selection of 'Finnish' breads on hand. Of course I violated doctors orders and had some fudge and doughnut holes - enjoy desert first! Great local in-house bakery and we look forward to coming... More
