Great breakfast.

Lots of good food & pretty good service. Coffee was strong but could water it down. Pancakes were great along with the eggs.

Ate here twice during our trip to Astoria - sitting at the old-school counter both times. Young, fun servers combined with great greasy-spoon meals. Kids loved the crepes and pancakes.

I hate to dis a place based on one visit so 3 stars when 2 might be closer to how I felt. First the positives - staff was excellent, service was quick, place is clean, menu enticing - BUT The pecan pancakes were underdone, the sausage in the sausage and cheese was like dry powdery soybean substitute (no kidding it... Just a good place to eat breakfast friendly service but a little slow but then again didn't look like anyone was in a hurry.Food was good like the kielbasa skillet and biscuit and sausage gravy also recommended.

The food was good. It took a while for us to get our breakfast though. While there was a good size breakfast crowd, we observed the servers spent more time chatting with each other then getting tables clean or guests assisted. One server (with dark hair in an a-line cut) was rushing around seemingly doing everything. While the rest milled... More

Stopped by on our way to the Flavel museum and to my surprise it was a great decision. My picky 4yo even ate all her pancakes. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

We needed a good breakfast, and decided to stop in at the "pig". How can you NOT go have breakfast at a place with a name like, "Pig & Pancake" . I had blueberry pancakes, which I loved, They were GREAT. I received 6 good sized pancakes, chucked with blueberries. With the compote, I did not even need syrup. The... More

3 of our 4 dishes were met with dislike. (they did OK with pancakes) Chicken fried steak was greasy and didn't taste like chicken fried steak. Mac and cheese was cold. Clam chowder was not good. All produced severe gastrointestinal disturbances afterwards. ! Staff did the bare minimum to serve. And, this is increasingly important on my list of restaurant... More
