Good place. Good taste.

This place had a solid Indian buffet. Something that I have rarely found during my travels around the US. The food was fresh and well prepared. I will definitely go back again.

Wonderful food and great people. We've eaten the lunch buffet many times on our way thru Astoria. We have never been disappointed. Last night we stopped for dinner having a lamb, fish and vegetarian dish along with chapati and tandoori roti. Excellent. The owners are a delightful young couple who do a super job.

Located on Marine Drive downtown Astoria pleasant and welcoming. The lunch buffet is probably the best bet. Cannot say it is the best but it is acceptable . Some dishes can be too spicy for some. Might return.

I had never had Indian food but my daughter kept telling me that it was awesome and I should try it. So I did and was not disappointed. It was great. I like very spicy food so asked for medium spice. Next time I will as for "not so spicy." But it was absolutely wonderful along with the garlic Naan... More

We made a return visit to the Himani restaurant, based on our good experience the first time around (see our earlier review from November 2013). We were not disappointed. The food is still excellent. Although we had a glass of wine during our visit last year, the restaurant no longer serves alcoholic beverages. The lack of wine did not spoil... More

We eat Indian food wherever we go, so we've had a pretty good sampling, and this was fantastic! We have a couple of favorite places we go to in Portland, but this place has them beat hands down! We had the Gobi 65, a fried cauliflower appetizer in a fiery-looking red sauce that was actually quite mild, but had amazing... More

Indian Cuisine is a fickle ting...much like pizza, what some folks rave about, others will say it is total crap. I have had really awesome Indian food in the States, and really mediocre fare as well. Having lived for a time in Punjab, I can safely say that the experience there is not much different (though they tend to spice... More

My husband and I both got sick, so we knew it had to be lunch. It tasted fabulous but something on the buffet had to have been left out too long. I also thought the drinks (lemonade) were VERY overpriced. I love Indian food, so it is with disappointment when I say that we won't be back again.

I used to wonder why people raved about Indian food. I had eaten in a handful of Indian restaurants near Seattle (where I live), and thought "no big deal". Then we visited Astoria with friends and they really wanted to eat Indian. To say my eyes were open to a whole new culinary world is not an exaggeration. I could... More

We moved from Oregon a little over a year ago. This was our favorite place to go and is my number one Indian cuisine choice. Everything was always perfect, the service was grand, and the people so kind. The quality of food was consistent, the price was fair and the portions were reasonable. We love this place so and miss... More
