While eating we conversed with folks from Canada who had eaten the night before and had come back for lunch. Their plans to come back for dinner and then return for lunch. They equally loved the beef brisket the pulled pork and the chicken. We enjoyed the brisket. Great food good service and astounding price.

We ate here at the suggestion of our B&B. We had been eating heavy meals for quite a few days, and wanted something lighter. This place was perfect. The owner/cook/waiter was very friendly, and it was obvious that regulars from town frequented this establishment. I had the pulled pork, with cornbread and barbecue beans. It was wonderful (significantly better than... More

If your looking for some good BBQ, Rolling Thunder can fill you up! We went in for a late lunch on a Saturday and had the pulled pork sandwiches and smoked potato salad. The sandwiches were excellent and had a huge portion of pork. The potato salad was also good but not too smoky. The owner was very friendly and... More

Stopped in after a long day of hiking, and got the brisket meal - comes with cornbread and two sides. I got the beans and the cole slaw. The beef brisket was nice - not too dry and with good flavor, and came with a decent amount of sweet sauce. The beans were my favorite side - and didn't taste... More

The owner is a really neat person, the bbq is his own personal concoction, and it is a good sides portion without the hefty price. I recommend the brisket. We moved away just over a year ago.

If you like good BBQ this is the place for you. What the place lacks in decor and upscale ambiance the food more than mkaes up for. We found the owner and the other patrons friendly and had a very pleasant and delicious. The sides of beans and slaw were good but the test of a BBQ restaurant is its'... More

If you go to Astoria for any reason, you must try this place. Located in an old boathouse right on the riverwalk trolley trestle and decorated with motorcycles, this restaurant was the highlight of our stay in Astoria. The owner (I wish I'd got his name) was friendly, funny, super accommodating and efficient. The food was fantastic. Meats (we had... More

It was 2 pm, we hadn't had lunch yet and then we saw the sign for BBQ. Not surprising we were the only customers in this quirky place. Lots of motorcycle and classic car pictures. The middle-aged guy that served us was nice and heaped the pulled pork on the hotdog bun sandwich. I tried the coleslaw side, my dining... More

Great BBQ at a great price. Owner Bruce is the real deal and a hell of a nice lad. Give his kitty Chairman Meow a pet or two or tree hundred!! (wink). Best lunch special around. Pulled pork sandwich with sides. Generous portions, great sauce, and solid value. He caters as well!!! Just like steeping into his den with a... More
