This place has such an institutional lack of quality food purveyor. The bratts are taken from a package bouught I am fairly sure from Winn Dixie. The rolls for the bratts are stale. We had a salad at our table that they took two chances to make both came out with brown lettuce!!!! One would think if you send the... More

I was looking for a late dinner after the USA soccer match and we were staying downtown I had been here over 10 years ago and decided to try it again. It exceeded all my fond memories and my grandson and daughter in law loved it as well. The soup of the day was seasoned perfecly the sandwiches hit the... More

European Street Cafe is a Jacksonville staple. It's been around forever and is always satisfying. They have great sandwiches, desserts (cookies!!), and coffee. Their happy hour is awesome too!

I am a vegetarian, and I always appreciate a place that makes the effort to be vegan/veg friendly. There is a variety of sandwiches, salads and other veggie fare that is unique, tasty and is served in a big enough portion that you actually feel like you ate something. The baked goods are really good...the chocolate chunk cookie dipped in... More

I find it shocking that my 60-something year old parents love this place but after visiting I see why. The outdoor seating is perfect to enjoy the great weather. I was given something different than what I ordered but ended up loving it. I received a meat/cheese plate, which my family helped themselves to. We all ordered the beer cheese... More

I usually get a reubin or sausage when I eat there, but this time I got the Parisian. Very, very good. Will get it again. Also, the service was great.

Extremely poor wait service / kitchen management for a Friday lunch crowd. Shouldn't have gone there during lunch time on a Friday but we did. First we waited about 10 minutes for the waitress to take our drink and food orders. Then we waited 40 minutes to get out food. Later we found out another group from compensated for their... More

We went again with 8 people and a baby. Great food and beers. This is the place to go for get togethers. Everybody had a good time with good service and a laid back atmosphere. There is a huge selection of beers that are 2 for 1 from 2-7pm. Virtually all the meals are under $9. You won't go broke... More

I've been to three European Street Cafes: this one, Beach, and San Marco. I was expecting a little better on this visit. We chose to sit outside and it was getting dark, so we felt there should have been just a tad more outdoor lighting. I had a good Reisling, $1.00 off since it was happy hour. I got the... More

Great beer selection. Cozy and comfortable dining room. Enjoyed the reuben and a liverwurst sandwich. Potato salad, thought not made on the premises, was good.
