After driving by several times I did a quick trip advisor read on this place and they all are honest reviews. I went for the salad with homemade blue cheese dressing and a side of meatballs. Salad could use some work but the dressing was excellent and the meatballs are delicious and large. I'm 6'3" 250 # and I am... More

Went in on a Friday and had the chicken parm lunch special, awesome. Came with a large salad with a blue creamy blue cheese dressing, also garlic bread and a large portion of spaghetti for $6! What a great deal, the building and atmosphere is nothing to write home about but it's my new Italian go to spot when near... More

I used to live in Jax and started going to Luigi's in the 80's....and never stopped. Tried to visit in January when I went back for a wedding and they were closed. I sat in the parking lot and cried! This is the ONLY place I will go to and get spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs are home made!! Get... More

I used to live at the beaches in Jacksonville, FL, & we had Nick's Pizza, long gone, but this is the next best thing. He has been there for years, the neighborhood has changed & the place could use a face lift inside & out, but the food is still great & reasonable prices. I usually get the same pizza... More

The place has been there 30 years but don't let the looks of the place fool you. Other Itialian chain eateries can't compete for the quality and quantity of food from this place. Try it once and you will be back for more.

We stopped by this little Italian restaurant for an early dinner. It was 4:30 with no one there but us until we were ready to leave. Within seconds, a server asked for drink orders and quickly laid a menu and place settings on the table. There were no evening specials so we both chose Lasagna with meat sauce from the... More

Been visiting this restaurant for MANY MANY years! I currently live approximately 25 miles from the restaurant but have to have my 'fix' and drive the distance! Never had anything that wasn't great -- but my favorite item that is a MUST have every visit - homemade blue cheese salad dressing! I buy a pint to take home when they... More

This place is not a modern looking place but don't let that fool you. The food is absolutely wonderful and hands down the best Italian food I have ever eaten. Lasagna with meat sauce with two huge meat balls, fresh salad, and loads of garlic bread is more than you can eat. All pizza is made from scratch with homemade... More

Don't be scared away by the shady (and slightly dumpy) exterior - this place is FAB. I have lived in the Jax are for about 3 years after moving here from up north where there are lots of great Italian Restaurants. Its been difficult to find quality a quality pizzaria/Italian joint. I happened to be on University getting my tires... More

Be sure to get their homemade italian dressing on your salad. The servings are big-plan accordingly. Big meatballs on the spaghetti & meatballs, good pizza, the lasagna fills a platter, good flavor-definately not stouffers. Plan on taking leftovers home.
