Dinner and a show

Stopped in on the way to a show and had a delightful experience. Cauliflower is a must with the flat bread. Beef skewers and Brussels sprouts were our favorites. Great staff and intimate surrounds made the evening magical. This is a must eat here stop in JAX. New menu posted

A family member took us here and we're not sure what to expect. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The tapas were varied in types and taste experience. The overall result was a fabulous dining experience.

13 Gypsies is one of the most unique restaurant options in Jacksonville. We have been here several times and each visit was the same: excellent, unique food and excellent, engaging service. Menu standouts on this visit: Cauliflower in Curry, Fried Kale, Hummus, Blackened Cod and Beef Skewers. We always order the small plates - several at a time - and... More

I have been wanting to go here since I saw it on DDD on the food network. I heard that it was hard to get a table since there are only about 8 tables, we did not have any problems securing a table for lunch. We ordered the shrimp and chorizo pasta and the red pepper ravioli. Both dishes were... More

After hearing a lot of positive things about this restaurant. We decided to stop by one evening to experience it ourselves. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be coming back. The server's attitude and service were nowhere near expectations. He approached our table looking like he was about to fall asleep. Prices are exorbitant for what you get. Key point:... More

Located in the transitional Riverside area of Jacksonville, 13 Gypsies is very popular with local foodies. So makes sure (if you want to have dinner here) that you make reservations. This is a small, quaint restaurant with, literally, a single digit number of tables. The servers are knowledgeable, courteous and unobtrusive. My wife and I were starving, have 4 tapas... More

OMG. I seriously do not eat to become full. Tonight, I am full. Full of small bites of heaven. Depending upon what you order, some bites are huge, others are adequate. Quaint atmosphere, friendly people, great food, what more could you want!

Have to post huge kudos to 13 Gypsies and their talented chef and team. Have eaten there many times and the quality, preparation and fine ingredients continue to impress. My son, chef, butcher and charcutier in NYC went with us recently and here are his comments: "Chef Howard Kirk and his Sous Chef Brian Moore do it all...literally. Everything that... More

Phenomenal! We went for our 19th anniversary dinner and had a great time. Kiki made us feel welcome and provided great suggestions throughout the evening. The top two tapas were the garlic marinated beef skewers and the curry cauliflower. The beef is in my personal top 3 dishes I have ever eaten. Their chorizo, pasta, cured beef etc are all... More

The initial experience was a challenge. After reading the reviews I have to ask myself, where were all the good things people spoke about? I even saw a review by Chef Kenny Gilbert that spoke highly of this place. Being fans of Guy Fieri we have managed to stop by all of the places that his crew visited while they... More
