13 Gypsies is in my top three "must take" restaurants for visitors to Jacksonville, but if I only have time to take them to ONE...13 Gypsies wins hands down every time. The food is fine dining quality in a tiny family bistro atmosphere. You can taste the love Chef Howard puts into his food. If you've had friends tell you... More

Honestly after seeing an old episode of DDD on Food Network I had high expectations for 13 Gypsies and to be honest it was everything I expected. We went in early on a Saturday a few weeks ago and had a brunch. We each had an Empanada to start and my wife followed it up with a tomato bisque with... More

The food is fresh, the service was friendly and prompt...great place! The honey hummus should not be missed. I hadn't had honey on top of hummus before, but it was a nice counterpoint to the garlic in the hummus. Every other plate we had was really scrumptious. The chorizo, the cremini mushrooms and the bruschetta were all winners. The gazpacho... More

This isn't a place you would eat every night but when you want something special... go here. The chef puts a lot into his menu. You aren't eating anything out of a box. It's tapas so the portions are on small side... as you would expect. The specials are amazing and the desserts are too.

I love this place! Went there for lunch and had their crab cakes. Apparently they had just put them on the menu! The best I have ever tasted! My husband had the ham gravy over peasant bread and that was delicious as well! I highly recommend this place! There are no burgers, no hot dogs or anything that even resembles... More

We have tried on numerous occasions to have dinner at 13 Gypsies and finally landed reservations! Our fabulous evening celebrating two birthdays was well worth our wait! Our party of 8 ordered everything from hummus with clover honey to citrus marinated beef, gnocchi and tres leche cake! We loved everything ! Don't give up! You will love 13 Gypsies!!

We shared the Tres Leches cake. OMG it was incredible. As was the risotto. I had the mushroom and Parmesean croquettes. They are $3 a piece not per serving. They were okay. I also had the piri piri shrimp. Again, just okay. Small portion big price. But I would definitely go back for the risotto and cake. Nice sized portions... More

I've been wanting to eat here for awhile due to all the amazing reviews. I was surprisingly disappointed. I expected a quaint room with great architectural charm.... Which we got. The place is very lovely. When my husband ordered a coke and they brought him a cup of ice and a can of soda I was shocked to say the... More

It's a tiny little place with lots of charm and delicious food. We had Saturday brunch which consisted of scrambled eggs with goat cheese, mushrooms, and toast and 6 minute eggs with marinated steak and hollandaise. It was so very good. I can't believe it's taken me this long to stop by.

The food was great clean flavors. The place is small but that adds to the enjoyment of the service and meal. We will return soon for more.
