It's a small place BUT they DO take reservations ! We went there without and waited "forever" to be seated, BUT the food was worth it ! The chorizo, dates and pear was excellent (Thanks Guy !) and all of the tapas we tried were very good. The risotto was the best I have ever tasted ! If you have... More

We had seen this restaurant on triple D, and heard about it from friends. It exceeded what we expected. It is indeed a very small place with about 18 seats. Very European and bistro like. My wife and I shared the garlic hummus and honey, I loved this and I do not like hummus. We shared the garlic shrimp and... More

My son and I diner here prior to teh Ringo Starr show at the Moran theater. We shared a lot of tapas, and each had a sandwich. Every single Tapa was wonderful, beautifully prepared and a treat for our taste buds. The sandwiches were amazing also. This chef puts love in the food and you can tell he has a... More

My friend and I had brunch here last Saturday. It was delicious as I expected. The empanadas were amazing. Flavorful, smoky, crispy. Sausage was just the right amount of spicy and obviously freshly made. The decor is quaint with kitschy and family photos. Our server was attentive and personable. My only complaint is the menu. There are too many choices... More

Went with the family before a night out to watch a show. Ordered various appetizers and none of them disappointed. They were delightful and tasty. Will definitely be back.

The tapas are unique due to the talents of the Chef/owner. The service is excellent, as it always is. Gnocchi is hand made from a secret recipe, which is my favorite. After that one, it's difficult to say which is favorite; they are all impressive.

13 Gypsies is in my top three "must take" restaurants for visitors to Jacksonville, but if I only have time to take them to ONE...13 Gypsies wins hands down every time. The food is fine dining quality in a tiny family bistro atmosphere. You can taste the love Chef Howard puts into his food. If you've had friends tell you... More

Honestly after seeing an old episode of DDD on Food Network I had high expectations for 13 Gypsies and to be honest it was everything I expected. We went in early on a Saturday a few weeks ago and had a brunch. We each had an Empanada to start and my wife followed it up with a tomato bisque with... More

The food is fresh, the service was friendly and prompt...great place! The honey hummus should not be missed. I hadn't had honey on top of hummus before, but it was a nice counterpoint to the garlic in the hummus. Every other plate we had was really scrumptious. The chorizo, the cremini mushrooms and the bruschetta were all winners. The gazpacho... More

This isn't a place you would eat every night but when you want something special... go here. The chef puts a lot into his menu. You aren't eating anything out of a box. It's tapas so the portions are on small side... as you would expect. The specials are amazing and the desserts are too.
