Best Risotto

Every time I go to 13 Gypsies I am impressed. The citrus marinated beef is always delicious and they make the best risotto I have ever eaten.

Love every single thing about this funky little place. Small plates are a great way to try lots of different things. We really enjoy the crispy potatoes with the curry sauce for dipping, the pork skewers, and the gnocchi. But, our absolute favorite is the risotto which the chef regularly changes out-haven't had one "bad" dish but I'd skip the... More

This was our second visit and this place is becoming one of my Jacksonville favorites, and certainly the most unique. 13 Gypsies is one-of-a-kind. The entire menu is small plates, so it is fun to go with friends and try lots of new things. Outstanding plates included Hummus with Honey (sounds whacky but is delicious), Brussels Sprouts with Blue Cheese... More

First timers at 13 Gypsies and we were overly impressed from start to finish. Great service as well. The menu items are creative and the preparation, ingredients and presentation were total home runs! Wine list, while short is really impressive, unique and paired up perfectly. The house made chamber items rock!!! Do not miss this eclectic spot, a hidden gem.

Very cool and eclectic food menu. My better half and myself tried several of the items off of the menu and were consistently surprised at how good everything was coming out of such a small kitchen. Actually that is one of the selling points for me about 13 Gypsies-it's small and absolutely authentic in the aspect that it's not a... More

After all these good reviews we decided to try this place again. These people that are giving great reviews must suffer the same problem my dog does, he licks his backside a lot and seems to love it. My opinion still stands, rude slow service, food is really not good, portions are tiny for the price. Another waste of money

This is the type of restaurant that you share your plates,so get friendly with your group and learn to share. I wish more places existed like this. Very cozy feeling in a relaxed environment with amazing cuisine. The food is extremely tasty and fresh, and I was constantly reminded of my trips abroad in Spain. We sampled almost 80% of... More

Tried 13 Gypsies for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with family members. Came in with a jaundiced attitude having had a recent unpleasant experience at another restaurant in Fernandina Beach that also offered Tapas. To my surprise the 13 Gypsies's fresh house-made chorizo was out of this world! So were their pork skewers, manchego ravioli, sangria (just red wine, fruit... More

I had been hearing buzz about 13 Gypsies and I love an interesting, off-beat sort of place, so we finally got a reservation. What a find! The menu is tapas, meaning all dishes are small plates, so it is typical to order lots of different things and share. The place is small, quirky and really interesting. The crowd is funky... More

I have only eaten lunch at 13 Gypsies but never been let down. The risotto is awesome! Never had kale - you will become an instant fan once you have had their sauteed with garlic kale. But the very best is the grilled mushroom cheese sandwich. And I do mean the very best. The restaurant is small with limited staff... More
