I was very skeptical because my husband picked this place, and boy, what a dive (but I like that kind of thing). I also wasn't in the mood for fried food, which is most of the menu, so I tried the blackened mahi mahi, and I must say, it was excellent. Even better, it was $12!!!! I'd pay double that... More

Most delicious red chowder I've had in a long time! We call it manhattan chowder and it doesn't have olives - this was a great place! We had calamari, 1lb of peel and eat shrimp, and 2 1/2 pots of chowder. The freshest and tastiest peel and eat I've had since Miami beach! Plus the whole thing was $29 with... More

For the fans of the not so pretty on the outside ,but great Seafood inside ,give C.Teds a try. Right on the water by a bridge ,it offers great views of the creek and marsh and very good food. On our recent visit I had the Mahi Sandwich served on a good size bun with onion ,lettuce, tomato and a heaping... More

Have been here a few times. Has to be one of the best dive restaurant! Nothing much more than a hole in the wall kind of place. Service is good. Food is good. Shrimp are always good. Red chowder is also good. Do not blink or you will drive right by it. Enjoy!

My new favorite whole in the wall! I don't like red chowder but my husband ordered it and said "you have to try this". I did, IT IS FANTASTIC! We also, had the poppers and onion rings. They were the best I've had in a long time. Lastly we had the calamari. It was very good. I wo Ull highly... More

It's tough to see the restaurant turnoff (literally just before the edge of the bridge) and there is no significant signage, but it is worth finding. Bring cash - no credit cards here - and get ready to enjoy ice cold drinks and lovingly cooked food. The smoked fish appetizer is just that - deliciously smoked fish combined with a... More

Mostly locals here. Don't let the very unassuming appearance of the place scare you off. The star of the show is the chowder. Tomato-based with chunks of tomato, potato and seafood with some spice to it. Makes great take-out. You'll be tempted to serve it and pretend you made it yourself (locals will know better). Fried shrimp is very good.... More

We were on our way to the airport after briefly visiting Kingsley Plantation on Ft. George Island and were charmed to find this on-the-water fish "shack" conveniently located on the way. Tucked under a bridge, easy to miss and clearly a locals place that had been discovered by tourists like us. Chunky conch fritters to start were hot and steaming,... More

We stopped in for a quick lunch before we boarded our cruise out of Jacksonville. We had the chowder & blackened Mahi sandwich. Both were good!
