Great food, casual atmosphere

We stopped in on a weeknight and it was very quiet. There was only one other couple dining and we were seated at the table directly across from the only other diners....awkward! Despite it being too quiet, the food was great and the service was lovely. The menu was quite limited but I totally... read more

Went here last night with my husband. The service was very marginal. It was a slow night, being a Sunday and also Memorial weekend. There were 4 tables of guests, and by the time we left only 8. There were 2 waiters and a manager that were visible. My husband ordered a coke and I ordered water. We ordered the... More

Went on a sunday night for the prie fix menu, ended up getting my usual go to ahi tuna tartare. It lacked flavor, no acid, no salt. I was so disappointed because my mom ordered it too at my suggestion. The sole was cooked perfectly, but the sauce again lacked seasoning.

We've dined here about 3 times, and always had excellent service and feel the food is a good value. Danville has lots of dining options but this place is one we happily return to. Be aware, on Friday and Saturday nights the place is very loud and busy - not a place for quiet conversation. However, on a Sunday night,... More

This is another of the good, wide-ranging dining options in Danville. It is very near Bridges, but is much more relaxed and casual. The patio is nice and the dining room is very comfortable. We really enjoyed the tapas / asian-fusion style appetizers, especially the duck spring rolls and the thai salmon. Usually, there are fresh oysters, too. The bartender... More

Nice lunch spot with attentive service by owner. Wait staff was not prepared or well trained so had hard time with ordering. Small selection of sandwiches for lunch, but lunch trio concept is nice for those who want variety and not huge amount to eat. Outdoor eating in warm weather.

Very disappointing. We had a reservation at 8pm for our anniversary. Have visited many times before and always left happy, but should have known something was wrong when firstly it 'smelt funny' when we walked in then there were only 2 other guests in the restaurant. The service was excellent, although a little rushed - probably because she had no... More

Amber Bistro is nestled on the same sweet side street as Bridges. It’s small restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining. The patio dining has white tablecloths while inside the tables are wooden bistro style. I prefer the tablecloths even for a casual meal. The cuisine is a creative mélange of East meets West. Portions are substantial, prices competitive, and... More

My husband and I had dinner at Amber Bistro. The food was quite good, especially the duck spring rolls.

I was there with a party of 4 just 4 days ago on a Sunday at 6:30. Only 2 other tables occupied in entire restaurant. Service was very pleasant but something must have been going on in the kitchen because it took an hour for entrée to arrive and another hour for the dessert to arrive. Wait staff never came... More
