Nice outdoor bistro

Nice dinner at the Amber Bistro. There wasabi noodles are fantastic. Had fish which was good but a little dry. They also had some nice deserts. Nice outdoor atmosphere but tables are very close together. All and all would recommend.

We ate here twice during our recent vacation in California, once for lunch and once for dinner and both meals were excellent. For the lunch occasion, we arrived after the scheduled lunch period and we were graciously accommodated even though we had obviously inconvenienced staff. Service was excellent and salads delicious. Evening meal on a subsequent date was equally good... More

I finally made it to Amber Bistro, it's taken me years. I have to say it wasn't anything exceptional. Although the wait staff and food were both pleasant, it's not on my top list of eats in Danville. Food on average is okay, nothing to rave about.

Specializes in flavorful, highly creative entrees matched to great wine selections. Great for couples, not so much for families. Parking in Danville is iffy, so plan ahead.

Went here last night with my husband. The service was very marginal. It was a slow night, being a Sunday and also Memorial weekend. There were 4 tables of guests, and by the time we left only 8. There were 2 waiters and a manager that were visible. My husband ordered a coke and I ordered water. We ordered the... More

Went on a sunday night for the prie fix menu, ended up getting my usual go to ahi tuna tartare. It lacked flavor, no acid, no salt. I was so disappointed because my mom ordered it too at my suggestion. The sole was cooked perfectly, but the sauce again lacked seasoning.

We stopped in on a weeknight and it was very quiet. There was only one other couple dining and we were seated at the table directly across from the only other diners....awkward! Despite it being too quiet, the food was great and the service was lovely. The menu was quite limited but I totally enjoyed the salad I ordered. Would... More

We've dined here about 3 times, and always had excellent service and feel the food is a good value. Danville has lots of dining options but this place is one we happily return to. Be aware, on Friday and Saturday nights the place is very loud and busy - not a place for quiet conversation. However, on a Sunday night,... More

This is another of the good, wide-ranging dining options in Danville. It is very near Bridges, but is much more relaxed and casual. The patio is nice and the dining room is very comfortable. We really enjoyed the tapas / asian-fusion style appetizers, especially the duck spring rolls and the thai salmon. Usually, there are fresh oysters, too. The bartender... More

Nice lunch spot with attentive service by owner. Wait staff was not prepared or well trained so had hard time with ordering. Small selection of sandwiches for lunch, but lunch trio concept is nice for those who want variety and not huge amount to eat. Outdoor eating in warm weather.
