Ate here with 5 friends on Friday night. I made reservations online for 4 people – then another couple decided to join so I called the restaurant and they were able to seat our party. The restaurant was only about 2/3 full. Since they redid their menu I love this place. Instead of bread they start you off with a... More

Recently we went to the Blackhawk Grille in Danville, CA. Is it good yes! Was the service excellent? Yes. Was it the best casual meal I've ever had? Nope. A little over priced but that's what you get in Blackhawk any day of the year. The have some interesting menu items along with a killer kids menu. My granddaughter loves... More

The service was good, but the food definitely mediocre. We will not be going back when there are other restaurants in the area that are much better.

The restaurant is great - good service and very good food. The bar on the other hand is way too loud and not because of high energy - because of poor acoustics.

Took 30 of our closest friends to a business dinner here and I'm glad we did. The room was very quiet and very accommodating, the service was exceptional, price was fair, and the food was very good. We will certainly return to this facility if we do this again.

Dine for lunch with my girlfriends on Memorial day; sat outside the patio area; beautiful scenery while eating on a sunny day; ordered a chicken sandwich on a chibatta bread with bacon and cheese; served with small mound of greens on the side; one ordered the reuben sandwich on rye served with onion rings on the side--the reuben sandwich was... Blackhawk Grille is among the best restaurant that Danville has to offer. In a town with limited choices, this fantastic restaurant would do well anywhere. While the menu tends to get a bit stale, with limited options, most offerings are very good. I do think that the chef struggles to position the menu, as some outstanding choices have either changed... More

I enjoyed the lighter chicken dish option. There was a lot of flavor and the spinach was nice...And only 12 WW points! Nice option for a healthy solo business meal while on the road.

My husband and I took a couple of friends from San Francisco to this restaurant for a weekday lunch get-together. The place was not busy because it was a week day. We chose to dine outside where the sun shines comfortably overlooking a tranquil environment. It gave us the feel of Napa Valley dining experiences. The restaurant has an elegant... More

I had high hopes for this restaurant since it's located in the "exclusive" city of Blackhawk. I was disappointed. The food was average, but pricey. I had the steak; it was tough and lacked flavor. The apple fritter dessert was nice, but I would have liked the apples to have been softer. They were crunchy. My dining companion did like... More
