Great location but all else lacking

This lovely place has gone downhill over the past 10 years. Location is great, especially sitting outside feeding the ducks. But the food is far below the atmosphere and prices. And the service in the bar was decidedly weak in our last 4 visits. And since the bar was remodeled it is really noisy.

I hadn't been here in ages so I was happy to get reacquainted. It is always a pleasant spot but on each count we were very impressed. Service was friendly and accomodating, especially on this night ( which was graduation week) when it was very busy. I had a chicken dish which I loved. Salads were good. The wine they... More

I've been to this place several times as we've recently moved into the area. Each time I have been less than impressed. The food quality is average and the service usually poor. I kept coming back after reading the positive reviews. The last time we went, the service was atrocious. The waiter appeared with menus, came back 20 minutes later... More

The bar has happy hour food so we ordered brussel sprouts - where were they? Just shreds of leaves and two little halves on a plate! But even "better" was the cheese plate - three quarters of three different sliced cheeses of the plastic variety that you see in Safeway piled up in the cheese counter. That plate went back... More

It's a great place for lunch, dinner, or a few drinks. Outside by the water, a very nice restaurant inside, and a casual room with a bar (tables and high tops) for food, drinks, and watch Sports if you like.

Food was not bad, but most people would be astounded by this restaurant's interpretation of a Reuben sandwich. Dessert was bland to the brink of tasteless. Given the lackluster quality, it was way too expensive.

A bunch of us went to the Grille as they do a F & C evening, as most of the company are Ex-pats, we had a lot of pitchers of Boddingtons, to wash them down. The serving was mahousive and enjoyable !!!!

This restaurant is located in the mall. The location and especially outdoor seatings is great. There is a water system that flows thru the outdoor mall. The prices for entrees are probably 1.5x where you would pay elsewhere with moderate portions. Salad/Burger would be about $15 just to give you an idea. Nothing super awesome but not super bad. I... Dined at the Blackhawk Grille in Danville. I've eaten there a number of times. I've consistently have had good meals. They have outdoor seating which is beautiful during warm weather. The interior decor is modern. I feel comfortable recommending it.

The food is really great most of the time, some times is a miss. The location is really gorgeous, in the Blackhawk shopping center. Great place for drinks. It can be a bit noisy for a romantic date. But it really is a great restaurant worth to visit and enjoy delicious food.
