We are anxious for Sideboard to reopen in it's new location - we miss the great coffee, rich hot chocolate, wonderful sandwiches and homemade chips. My husband does not miss the smell of the fried brussel sprouts, but I love them! Great baked goods, too.

I am a vegetarian and have a ton of options here! I love the veggie burger, mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, fries and tots. You really can't go wrong and everyone will find something to eat!

I have been to this restaurant many times. It's popular because it has the potential to be a cool hang-out. Not much else in little Danville. However, it suffers from an identity crisis. The atmosphere is Santa Cruz funky, noisy and seemingly laid back...family run. You stand in line to order, grab a table on a first-come basis, and get... More

Sideboard is a great little neighborhood gem in downtown Danville. You order at the counter ad they bring your food to your table. The place gets crowded around meal times and it's a first come, first serve situation with tables/seating. They do have outdoor tables on a smallish patio, but the ambiance is charming. Along with heaters, there's even a... More

We stopped here for breakfast this morning. My egg dish (feta, scrambled egg, avocado & spinach) was way too salty but tasty; served with absolutely no sides, just a big bowl of eggs. The coffee tasted off, not sure if the coffee was stale? Or the brew too weak? Service always leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion.... More

My husband and I have become "regulars" on the weekends at Sideboard. We walk the Ironhorse Trail and stop in for breakfast most Saturday and Sunday mornings. We enjoy the outdoor seating in the middle of Danville where we can relax and have a bite to eat before walking back to our car. Our favorite meals include the French toast,... More

A small restaurant in the middle of Danville, serving a smallish range of well prepared and served dishes. They also provide a range of 'different' beers, as well as an assortment of good teas and coffees. Seating can be a problem, but the wait is well worth it. You can happily watch the world go by if you sit at... More

My wife and I were out in East Bay visiting friends and getting in a little work. While I was excited about going back to San Fran, the real highlight of the trip was spending time in Danville, and especially hanging out at Sideboard. The restaurant itself is eclectic yet has a homey feeling. I am a Starbucks drinker but... More

My husband loves Sideboard but I doubt if we will ever go back. Ordered beignets and breakfast for me. After I was done (30 minutes later ) we asked about the beignets and were told they needed to get a large order before they even made them! We cancelled the order after they didn't even offer to make them! I... More

Stopped in for lunch but they were still serving breakfast so tried the eggs benedict. They were excellent. Great outdoor setting. You order the food at the counter and they bring it to your table. Friendly staff. Also an excellent berry tea they make. Shared the bruschetta of heirloom tomatoes which was also fantastic.
