This restaurant has great food, nice ambience and good service. Outdoor seating is available and there is a singer who sings popular songs of the 70s, 80s and 90s on Saturday night. I had the steak & frites and carrot cake for dessert. My guest had the grilled salmon. 5 star!

My mother had a fabulous birthday lunch at The Peasant and The Pear! My GF and I wanted to take her somewhere she hasn't been too. On this busy Saturday we were seated immediately, with menus in hand and water quickly on the way. Interior nice but small with various Family portraits, artwork, and Pears. The bathroom was like home,... More

With two younger kids, we don't dine out often. But when we get the chance sans kids, Peasant and the Pear is our #1 choice here in Danville. You cannot go wrong with any of their cocktails or dishes with pears. Start with a peartini and split the San Ramon pizza (pears, carmelized onions and gorgonzola cheese, which also can... More

We live in Danville and have eaten here a number of times over the years. Unfortunately, the service and order accuracy has declined and the food seems not quite what it used to be. I asked for the bread on the menu for the BLT to be used for my sandwich. The waiter returned to say they did not have... More

We have celebrated a few family events here - one being our son's high school graduation. Due to the timing of graduation and grad night, a celebratory lunch was a great option. The food and service are always good and the atmosphere made it special.

Enjoyed the ambiance and service in this cozy restaurant in the downtown area of Danville. Menu is somewhat limited but, the obvious hit of the restaurant is their lamb shank which was ordered by the majority of our party with no side dishes needed. The pasta dish also looked very good. Portions of both of these dishes were huge with... More

After reading good to great reviews, I was expecting a lot. We arrived for lunch with a reservation and were offered a tiny table in a crowded room. We were allowed to move to a window location with a view of the parking lot when that opened up. We waited for ten minutes or so before water was offered then... More

This is a lovely restaurant that is on a main street, but tucked behind a courtyard so it feels very secluded and quiet. We had a birthday lunch and saw another group of moms there for the same reason. The quiche and salad was tasty and all the other diners enjoyed their meal as well. I had to leave early... More

Their food is always inventive but not weird. Anything with the black cod is amazing. We've always had excellent service even though they can get very busy. The early bird from 2:30-5:00 is unique but don't go when you are watching your calories.
