At Chow, we only use organic produce. We are proud to use products from local vendors and to use those products to make everything in house. Our Danville location has a bakery kitchen that makes all the fresh produce and then sends it to each of our locations. If you love our jams, salad dressings or anything else, please note that our Lafayette location has a Farmers’ Market with these products. You can now add Chow’s Cooking to your Home Cooking! Enjoy!

Nice place open late

I love coming here after a play at the Village Theatre. Not much stays open late in Danville. It's basic comfort food. Good service. Good value.

We started going to Chows in SF, then Lafayette and now Danville. A great restaurant with really good prices on food and wine. This Chows even has a full bar. The pastas are great and they have the best spinach salad I have ever had. Danville lacks for a decent, not terribly expensive restaurant that you can go to without... More

We have eaten here several times. Breakfast is fine. Supper is fair. Service is OK given the rushed business of the place. Crowded with many toddlers, and noisy, happy adults, Don't focus on the food. Focus on the contented ambiance. (Reservations accepted after 4pm nightly).

If you just want a nice meal and do not want to dress up or have peace and quiet, this is the place. I have been to Chow a half dozen times or more over the last 2 years and it is a handy place to have in town. There is a nice selection of wines and enough entrees to... More

We love Chow. The food is always fresh, and they have locally grown produce and other products in their meals. The goat cheese appetizer makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Thai salad and noodles are my other favorites. Great brew selections and specials, and really good lattes. Get a cinnamon roll if you go for brunch! Yum! Always... More

Very casual bistro style dining and good food. Appetizers were good as they were small portions and enough to share with a small group that we were in. Nachos was also surprising good and reminded my when I was in Mexico. Grilled organic pork chop was cooked really nice.

This is one of those convenient "go to" places when you don't feel like cooking: a good local hangout. The fireplace and décor makes for a cozy ambience. There is a patio available if you like to eat outside. The food is good and satisfying. Don't expect white tablecloths, the silverware is wrapped in paper napkins, which are left at... More

I came here for breakfast with a big group of people. The place is nice inside and the outside seating is great when the weather is gorgeous. The staff are very pleasant despite that it took them long to seat us. I do understand that they may have been overwhelmed with a very busy weekend. I like that their breakfast... More

I have been here several times for Sunday Brunch, but this time while the service was friendly the order got totally confused somewhere down the line, and the food was just not up too scratch.
