Great place for lunch.

Good solid diner food from a real 1950's diner (at least it seems as if it's really from the 50's). Good, and inexpensive also. We were there for lunch..A winner.

True diner feel. Lots of cars in parking lot - a good sign. We were seated immediately seated. Order was taken quickly, and food came out way before we expected. Great wait staff. I had a burger while my husband had a pastrami sandwich. Both were wonderful. Sorry we only got there once.

My husband and I were there in the middle of Sunday afternoon. There were many cars in the parking lot and people in the restaurant. We were seated immediately and our server promptly took our drink orders. My husband ordered eggs, toast and home fries. I ordered a steak and cheese panini which came with fries and coleslaw. Our food... More

Hopefully the food was bad because it is the 4th of July. We got the the Buffalo Calamari special. Nothing special about it. It was a pile of mushy breading with a few pieces of calamari mixed in. I pointed it out the waiter and he said "yeah that doesn't look good" as he walked away. But it was still... More

This is the place to go to remember what a malted milkshake taste like or an egg cream. They also have the best italian tiramisu. The food is so good here it was on The Food Networks Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. One of my faves is the open roast beef sandwich on rye with a great gravy. My husband loves... More

This Diner is "ok" I have been to many diner and this is just an average in comparison to others. There are a lot of young folks in this diner working, some are good others are not and requires several reminders to get extra napkins and or coffee. It depends on the day and time and the level of service... More

Living in Virginia, I miss egg creams. So thrilled to be able to have one ... good traditional food. I had hot pastrami and cheese on toasted wheat .. and an egg cream and a chocolate malt to go.

This HUGE menu has something for everyone. All of the food is prepared well and the service is excellent. The bananas foster pancakes are a must. This sleek and shiny diner is reminiscent of an old train car turned greenhouse with lots of glass and chrome. Very clean and comfortable. LOVED this place!

Will absolutely go back to this diner/ restaurant when we visit this area again in the fall. The food, service and ambiance is really nice. We could clearly see that many of the patrons were regulars. For those that are interested, you can even enjoy an alcoholic beverage with your meal. We liked it so much, we went there several... Zagat rated diner!! Totally retro but thoroughly modern diner with the best diner food you'll ever eat! It's diner food but up several notches from a typical diner. Enormous servings..burgers are all 1/2 pound ( we shared). Fabulous salad and friendly service with a great retro ambiance. We ate there twice and we were only in Hyde Park for 2... More
