Good Basic Italian Food

After reading some questionable recommendations we asked our Inn keeper. She very nicely explained both Hera and her mother's preferences. She told us that Coopola's was her mother's favorite. Well, it would be mine too if I lived near by.

Went to dinner on a Friday evening. The service was very good. My wife's cosmo was excellent and the beer was cold. The food was very good. The rolls were warm .Portions were ample. Did not have room for dessert. Would have given them a 5 but there were annoying flies hovering during our entire meal. Would recommend.

Service here was good and it is a popular place. However, I was disappointed in the meat lovers calzone I ordered, and my husband had to send his stromboli back because he requested they leave out the ricotta cheese and the chef got it wrong. It might be that we made bad choices. I have never had a bad calzone... More

We just stopped in one afternoon for a drink. Great local watering hole . The bar food we saw and smelled made me want to eat there, but it will have to wait for another trip. Bar tender was excellent and made us feel at home.

We took our niece to the Hudson Valley for the 4th of July weekend. Between visits to the FDR house and Vanderbilt house, we had lunch at Copolla's. Best meal of the weekend. Great calimari. Shrimp wrapped in Prosciutto was outstanding. We liked the marinara so well we bought a jar (plus a jar of Vodka, Pepper and Sausage, and... More

We wandered in on a whim and were very pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent. Our water glasses were never empty. The salad was large and the crumbled blue cheese delicious. The bread was great. My daughter had Chicken Parm and my wife and I have Veal and Chicken Oscar. All were excellent. We were too stuffed for dessert. I... More

My wife and I enjoyed dinner at Coppola's so much that we returned for lunch the next day. The menu is varied and extensive, and not limited to the same traditional foods found at many Italian restaurants. The food portions are generous, the food quality is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. For dinner, I had chicken parmigiana, and... More

My family and I went to Coppola's for the Easter Brunch Buffet. They were able to accommodate us even though we called on Easter morning. The choices were plentiful and very good. Price was also excellent considering it was Easter Sunday.

The restaurant itself seemed quite nice. We had dinner elsewhere and the saw a movie. We stopped for a glass of wine and a beer. The bar area seemed comfortable and appeared there were regulars. That tells me it is consistent and attentive. The bartender was pleasant and helpful. The drinks were reasonably priced and tasted of good quality.

The pesto tastes rancid. I couldn't taste anything in the hamburger except raw garlic, not even beef. The fries were soggy and also tasted like raw garlic, I about 3. The Mozzarella Cheese wedges, the absolute easiest thing on the menu to make and have be good... tasted like fried fish. Learn how to cook, do something other than throw... More
